Marzec - in my mission that is a texture custom to the FM (still derived from stock, of course). Looks like your installation can access the default textures but not those specific to the missions, which is likely a config issue.

i did not 100% them, but did enough to beat them all, except the maze in sewers level as i got lost and after 30 min-1 hour i had to move on

i will go back through them all to really dig deep and find all the nuggets of treasure/secrets/etc

and i did gorts on easy first time,i already know it will be the hardest mission on expert from contest

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Lost Among The Forsaken, Sound of a Burrick in a Room, and Whistling of The Gears all have some things in common... how much in common? Time will tell; I've learned from previous contests not to make assumptions about author(s) identities!

so, no one really bothered to compile a video from contest fms for retired taffers that didn't install thief for years.

In fact, someone has just done that.

Important: Lord G has been updated by the author with an approved fix which addresses a mission-breaking bug whereby you could get to the final room without having met the loot goal, and thus be unable to end the mission. Download it from either mirror listed in the original post here.

Cool, thanks! I still don't know why towards of the mission, I was being teleported somewhere that looks quite familiar from one of the original Thief missions. I recognize the starting point with the stairs, a door that's unable to access. More like a little room but without a roof.

Why are there 1.1 versions being released and listed under TDP20AC in the ttlg threads and at Southquarter?

The date of release and end of the contest was 1 Dec 2018, right?

Yes. i did. It refers to a 1.1 version being released on 11 Dec 2018 - 10 days after the end of the contest.

Do you see why I am asking?

Let there be updates after the voting period.

No, we allowed fixes during the voting period. That's just what they are though, fixes. Adding anything else is verboten (such as adding another room somewhere).

Doesn't seem right to me; no one had less time than everyone else (unless you consider those who submitted without "fixes" as having less time than those who did/do)

It's not a question of time, it's a question of fixing game-breaking issues that slipped through testing or whatnot. The Scarlet Cascabel had a nasty and repeatable crash to desktop that affected only a few people while Lord G could become unwinnable under certain circumstances. Under these conditions, fixes to these huge problems are absolutely fine.

If an author tries to improve and modify a mission during the voting period, then yes it wouldn't be fair. However, I don't mind at all if an author tries to solve a game breaking bug.

Right, we're only allowing authors to fix any game-breaking bugs which might prevent players from finishing and thus voting on their missions, and it's open to all authors under the same circumstances.

While in theory people can exploit this (release something broken with the aim to fix it afterwards and thus gain extra time), we are not competing for world championship or gold medals here. Our goal is for the players to enjoy the anniversary as much as possible. It is good to let people fix game-breaking bugs so people can finish their missions.

what mission from contest did you all feel was hardest,of course i think "gort" takes first place is hardness, but what was second hardest in contest?,i would say for my guess the tomb of knoss was a great challenge,or whistling gears was a hard mission also

the way the enemy's actually bite/strike you was scary as hell

those were the most hardcore burricks i ever seen, its sad how they pretty much extinct now

the last tamed burrick was in seven sisters night 2 when you free the little burrick from butchers place and the lady gives you the most amazing "red velvet loot bag"=i wish people would add to mission for memory of lady rowena

the results of contest are way beyond anything i could have imaged ,so for that you all impress me a lot,may the builder bless you all,and hands everyone a grape bunch from thief 1,not sure why it is called fruit when it obviously a bunch of grapes i don't get

but was kinda sad not to see many cray beasts in missions, how i want a miniture cray beast claw for a key chain/necklace charm, have it be the color of a blue shelled crab claw

and not many npc's from t1 were in contest missions either as in good npc's,i did see Ramirez in a could missions at least,he seems to have put on a bit of weight since i last saw him

    not one farcuss?

and omg i was happy to see the singing guy from song of caverns, and he was chill

OK, so I finally finished playing all contest missions and I scored all of them. But right now I have a problem with scoring the whole pack (I scored only separate missions). It's tough because missions from the pack have different story and different theme which means different atmosphere and gameplay. Oh, how I wish I could vote for the missions from the packs separately.

There's no score for the overall contest package. You "only" get to vote for the individual missions.

Galaer, if you mean you wish you could vote separately for the few entries that had 2 missions, you can give them different scores and then just vote with the mean of the two scores.

To tell you the truth I didn't understand this too well. For example there is Catacomb of Knoss. It has 2 missions. I scored both of them differently. But from what I noticed there is no way to put both scores for this FM (different for Mission 1 and different for Mission 2). There is only Story/Atmosphere/Gameplay score or overall rating. I can't fill them both. Or maybe you want for me to put these scores in additional comments.

No, I mean just average the two and report that. So if on Story you gave mission 1 a 6 and mission 2 a 10, give it an 8 for Story. Or, add up the 3 scores for each mission, average them and then give an overall score out of 30 for the mission that way. For example, if M1 was 6/7/8 = 21 and M2 was 8/8/9 = 25, then the average of 21 and 25 would be 23. But you can't vote different scores for individual missions within Knoss, you have to vote only for it as a whole.
