So I may have softlocked myself. I dropped the ancient hammer just before entering the foundry and as far as I can tell there's no way to get it back. Is the item necessary to progress further? I'd want to try it out in Matron's room.

Edit: And problem solved. There is a way to get the hammer back, just in case somebody finds themselves in a similar situation ;]

@czyysThe hammer is not actually used for anything other than decoration.

Hah, yes, I found out about it just a few minutes later. I was convinced Matron opened the gate to the asylum because I was holding the ancient hammer, so naturally upon reading the book in her secret room I expected it to have some use there as well.

Other than that small bump I enjoyed the mission, the atmosphere was set the moment I backtracked to smithy and it didn't drop till the final ride.

That's a good point! I suppose I could have made it clearer that the rosary was already hexed. I'm glad you enjoyed the mission!

Jumped into these missions with this as the first. This was a fun ride, bit difficult to navigate but never got stuck. Reminded me a lot of the original missions of the same theme (Old Quarter) in that way. I was a little under 1k loot from the max so I assume there were entire areas I probably couldn't find a way to get to.

@GUFF - I'm glad you had fun and that it reminded you of the Old Quarter! The loot is very spread out and there are some areas with loot that are not required exploration to finish the mission. Here's a hint: In areas that have a lot of structural damage, the loot is much less obvious!

@downwinder - Thank you! I'm happy that you enjoyed it! If I had more time to build I would have made it twice as big.

I really enjoyed this one. Wasn't too keen on the very start stumbling around the mines and sewers but it soon opens up and is big without being a pain to navigate. It's also nicely creepy without relying on jump scares.

Thoroughly loved this one. The atmosphere is massive and the vision grand. It's a tad linear but it's a great experience overall. Congrats!

@Marzec - Thank you for adding it!

@Swiz - Thank you! I hope all that hard work in the mines felt like it paid off when you emerged in front of the asylum!

@skacky - That's high praise. Thank you very much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it.

There is a gate to the left side looking at the armory door from the kart track, can that gate be opened?

Nope. The debris that has collapsed from the wall prevents it from opening. That area cannot be accessed.

Loved it! I'm a big fan of undead, Old Quarter missions. Was short a good sum of loot so I'll do a more thorough playthrough later. Also... to be continued?

Great mission. I almost made it through without dying until the lava platforming, and the fight against the matron. I didn't expect her to attack.

Is this mission intended to be an origin story of sorts of The Eye, and thereby the fall of the Old Quarter?

@DarkMax - I'm happy that you enjoyed it! I plan on doing a full loot list at some point. And yes I definitely plan to continue the story!

@Proliffia - Thanks! I couldn't let you to get used to her just disappearing all the time! and yes of sorts I suppose,
Definitely involving the pagan magics happening during the fall of the Old Quarter! She was searching for the eye but of course never found it.

No, you can't jump the lava pit… from this side.

Remember that the letter you got said the mines were the best way to the asylum. You need to explore the mines some more. Look for a gate with a skeleton crushed beneath it.

Excellent mission Phantom - just my cup of tea! Creepy, good atmosphere, visually appealing, found everything and thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Looking forward to the continuation. One of my top favourites of this most excellent contest

Another amazing FM with lots of locations to explore and many surprises! Played it on hard and, believe it or not, looted 3287/4287.

Thanx to the author for his magnificent work and to Bäuchlein for the excellent german translation.

BTW ... did anyone free the transparent prisoners in the cell block? And try to find out why Garrett carries a blackjack?

@Psych0sis , thank you again for streaming your playthrough and I appreciate the kind words!

@Bosh , thanks very much! I look forward to continuing the story as well. I've already got some tasty ideas so I might start production soon!

@zappen, I'm happy to hear that the translations are being played! The translators worked very hard on them. I may do a v1.1 when I release the next mission in the series and rework the map so that loot goals are possible. And BTW .. Garrett always has his blackjack, and there are actually a couple of crafty uses for it in this mission, but they are secret!

I was not bothered about the fact that there is no goal objectives in your FM. IMHO it is not required in a FM as long as the other objectives are thrilling enough. Once finished I always look at the statistic to see my loot results, this time I missed exactly 1000.

A couple of uses? Oh, I must have missed several details though ...

BTW ... what does this mean: "THE LIGHT OF THE BUILDER SHALL SET YOU FREE"?
