I need an outright spoiler for the location of the "fire" core part. I took a screenshot during the teleportation sequence and it seems to be in a room with a painting depicting the Trickster and a naked woman, a red curtain, a bookshelf, and a small fireplace. I have yet to find this room. Galaer wrote it is above the street where the crazed murderer is patroling. I think I am in the right area: There is a note hanging on one of the gates warning citizens of the murderer.

I wish I could help better, but you need to climb up and over to the other side. The area has pipes crossing above the street. For me after the teleportation stopped I was already in the correct area or close to it. once you get to the room it will be obvious as to where that item is located.

I could answer better if I went back into the game but I just woke up.

I climbed the walls on both sides of the street. I can get up to the outside of a tiny room with a Keeper inside door where I could grab a potion from the windowsill, but that was all I found.

Iirc you need to go into Tudor's bedroom and go through the fireplace. This should least to the other side.

The fireplace in Tudor's bedroom drops down to the alarm killswitch. I have been there severeal times before. If I cimb outside through the next window near the alarm killswitch, I end up on the rooftops near the collector tower.

    I guess John misunderstood.
All you have to do is going in the deadend street between the carpet shop and the church, climb the machines & pipes to reach an apoticary's flat and then reach the street with the savage and the fire shard somewhere

Thank you, FireMage! I wasn't sure what you meant at first. I ended up finding the apothecary's shop half by accident. It is the one with the dead frog on the table. When I looked out the window at the apothecary's, I saw the open window of another building. Inside, a hanging cancle was emitting a greenish glow. I recognized it from the screenshot I took during the teleportation sequence. This turned out to be the correct building. I grabbed the "fire" core part from the fireplace and was able to complete the mission. Finally, after many hours wasted searching for the parts.

I enjoyed The Whistling of the Gears up until the core explosion. Searching the whole map to find the four core parts randomly scattered around was the most frustrating thing in the whole contest.

Yeah it's easy to get turned around in this mission. I came out of the church balcony and turned right to the apothocary's building.

Have you got the right door? The door you want is indeed unfrobbable, it almost doesn't look like a door, but you know your at the right door because there is a slit in the door like a letterbox.

Hint: To achieve the objective you need the secret code for accessing the compromising information.
Spoiler: Knock on the door 3 times
Something is not right. After knocking on that door three times, the panel opens, and closes after a couple of seconds. Nothing else. And the objective is not ticked off. I was expecting an object to teleport or a conversation to start. What am I missing?

Have you read the report hidden in Lord Tudor's bedroom? That report gives you both the location of the compromising information and the secret code .

Loading a savegame made it work. Must have been a glitch. Thanks.

This mission took me 2 hours 35 min to ghost and I got 2431 loot. This was challenging mission, enemies are placed strategically. I should like it, but it wasn't that good. I feel like there are few reasons for that.

    1. This mission is very claustrophobic. The insides of buildings are small, so it feels like they are packed very tightly with small rooms. I don't like it.

    2. Lots of metal surfaces. This means there will be a lot drops on these and lots of unwanted loud noise. That's annoying.

    3. Weird jumps. This is the problem when climbing on rooftops. Mostly when obtaining Air Core. I really dislike these jumps from roof to roof when pursuing Air Core. I had lots of problem to figure out how to climb on top of roof just below chimney with final Air Core.

    4. Structure of the mission. This forced me to go back and forth for fixing core many times. For example: I'm entering Tudor place from top, I need to get a key to his room which is located at the bottom, return back to top level. Then return to top level to get Water Core, then back to bottom to fix it. After that return again to top to place fixed core and finally leave. That's repetitive and annoying. Especially when ghosting. Good thing I found the shortcut, but still it's tedious.

    5. Through the whole mission I had this depressing feeling that I achieved so small compared to time I spent.

Now for some extra notes. I felt that putting sounds from Maw in random place in ventilation was weird. Alarm plants were really tricky to dodge and creative. For some reason during my first playthrough I didn't noticed their alarm function. I also liked the room with plants and faces of people on the wall. It reminds me the old movie where plant was eating people and only their faces appeared on the plant. Also it was interesting to see that you can't get incriminating evidence right from the start. And I was surprised that "knocking" to the door didn't alert anyone nearby.

Where can I find a key to the gate next to Lord Tudor's bedroom?I have found only entrance through hole above the gate
I was teleported to the ancient factory. And I don't know what to do. The elevator does not work at all.

This mission is nuts! I love it so far and I have no idea how far along in the mission I actually am.

Does anybody know the significance of this place a pool with dead bodies and a fixed rope already in place? I can't find anything in there.

There's one item of loot in that tower, but it's not a very common item of loot.

    Hint: Middle level

Thanks, fortuni! I found it, but 45 minutes behind my current progress. If I go back...

I need to be pushed out of a rut. Having found some holy items, I can't find my way back to Tudor's lab to damage the machine. Right now I am located at the mission start. Kindly give me some hints and a rough location. I can't locate the mission start on the map.

One way is go upstairs in the inn fairly close to the start, rope up to the beams in the thieves/smelting area, through the 1st vent, into a second open vent, exit to left through dark storeroom, cross dining room to corridor and go right to get up to the lab.....

Is there a way to open the door to the Scrapper's forge?

It is upstairs from the inn. You have to approach the hidden door from above. You go through vent above an armoire, through a sword assembly area, and past the forges. Then there is a switch on the wall to open the bookcase entrance.

I just finished the mission on Expert, ghosting, with 2599/3056 loot. My stats time was over 12 hours! I have no idea how some players could accomplish this in 2.5 hours without prior knowledge or perhaps playing on Normal, which violates the ghosting rules. Anyway, chalk it up to my being slow, meticulous, waiting for good timing, requiring a lot of experimenting, and being a slow learner. I had to find my route by trial and error, repetitively, on multiple days, visiting some places 6 times or so, before I started to get the hang of the map.

I thought that this was generally a superb layout, with good atmosphere, with really good exploring opportunities. The first time through it was great. The 6th time, not so much. The main problem for me was the tedious hunting for core shards. I think that the screenshot method is bogus and not much help unless you have a photographic memory not only of the places but the routes to get there.

Things I would suggest improving in a revised version, if any, are:

    1. A much better and more detailed map with street names and building locations identified. Some way to address the vertical element?
    2. Make necessary readables portable and perhaps easier to find. The well-hidden book by Tudor's bed is an example.
    3. Make it easier to access some really hard spots. I spent a huge amount of time trying to get onto the tall castellated tower and failed. I never found a speed potion, and it should not be necessary. The chimney location of the air shard was too difficult unless you know how to stack crates.
    4. Figure out ways to reduce the tedium of shard hunting. Eliminate surprise relocations? Provide clues?
    5. Provide a much slower and more informative cut-scene showing the shard locations. It is hard enough getting to those places even with good knowledge.
    6. Label the shards in inventory, fire, water, earth, and air, so you know which ones you have found.

Regardless of my complaints, I had a great time playing this. Thank you very much!

I'm pretty much with Peter on this one and could add a few things. Great game world, dubious game-play due to poor dissemination of vital clues. I humbly suggest giving serious consideration to make a version 2.0. This mission has the potential to be one of the best ever. As is, it's just good. It wouldn't take much effort to make it worthy of a gold hammer.

Obviously it's too late to make changes in regards to the contest but I really think in the long run it would be well worth it.

"bathtub" in tudor's) and i'm chasing the last one,the one which floats over the lamp and then i found it again on the top on the tower with the twisting stairs and then when i try to grab it AGAIN garrett says "you've got to be kidding me" sooooo where did it go this time?
