Pretty much you can say that the HD Mod replaces EP2 completely since it has improved graphics and new element features that EP2 doesn't have already.

Understood. I should have mentioned it to begin with, but the first post has now been amended to reflect this.

Yeah, I like how the textures look so realistic and more vibrant especially when you go to the NewDark Graphics settings in your Thief 2 directory and click on the full color setting in the configuration section.

Your habit of "responding" to people's posts with complete non-sequiturs makes me want to physically smack you.

Are you taffing me? I'm no taffer if you think I am. If you think so, I'll be a good taffer and leave right now. Have a nice day.

T2Fix 1.27 is now available in the first post, offering the newly-released NewDark 1.27 and the Thief 2 Multiplayer beta.

    Code:
    T2Fix 1.27

    Changelog:

-Updated all core files to NewDark 1.27
-Added Thief 2 Multiplayer component as it was included with NewDark 1.27
-The fixed schemas are now only installed if DromEd is selected
-Fixed a texture in "Running Interference"
    -EP now accounts for books\parch2
-Removed the cave texture family fix introduced in version 1.26b because it is no longer necessary
-Modified the high video preset for consistency with the other presets
-Setup will now issue a warning if the installation directory and install media location are the same
-The default component description text is now colored gray
    -Other minor changes

Is it necessary to install T2Fix 1.27 on top of Le Corbeau's NewDark T2 1.27 update that was recently released not too long ago if I already have it installed?

While it is not strictly necessary if it was applied as instructed, it is highly recommended to run the latest version of T2Fix even if you have already installed NewDark to ensure everything is properly set up and functional.

Cool, thank you! It is a good idea so the game can continue getting it's quality of life updates and improvements periodically.

Is it possible to have the mantling changes in OMs to be handled via DMLs? As of now, I believe they are added in the missions themselves.

Yes, you are correct. It is certainly possible to implement this using DMLs instead, though it would require noting each object ID that requires modification. This would accomplish nothing more than the current implementation, however.

Is there any particular reason you request this?

It would be great to have an option of turning these changes on an off. Most people won't bother, but some, like myself () would really appreciate it. DMLs are flexible too since pretty much anyone can edit them if a need arises.

I don't think you got my point. I'm not talking about switching between new mantling and old mantling. I'm talking about switching between unrestricted new mantling and restricted new mantling.

I understand. I will look into implementing these changes using dbmods in future versions, as it should offer an easier way for more advanced users to tune their experience if they see fit.

before I forget again, it would probably be a good idea to create a T2Fix ModDB page - a backup mirror is always helpful, and by doing so, you will hopefully avoid having to deal with this vile cretin, whose sole purpose in life is to take other people's stuff and upload it there (ideally, in an outdated version).

the part where that moron is hopefully prevented from distributing out of date T2Fix files in the future is more important.

I can see where that may be helpful. The T2Fix Mod DB page is now public, though the files will likely take a few days to be authorized. For most, this is of little importance, as the data is identical to what can be found here. This page will henceforth be maintained as updates are made available.

looks up and running - that should make claiming files in the future easier, if nothing else.

Thanks, having it on a modding site also makes it easy to track updates along with may other mods.

whoops, looks like T2FMDML got lost somehow when building the latest T2Fix.

Actually, it had intentionally not been included up to this point due to a lack of proper testing. It could be potentially disastrous should a broken DML be applied to the incorrect mission, or worse, globally. However, in recent days I was able to test each of the now 162 individual fixes and confirm all work as intended. A new release should follow soon that includes the entire T2FMDML archive along with several other improvements.
