    Nice.

I've got an idea for a game you can have btw. I'm never going to develop it so if you want to hear it PM me.

I find coming up with game ideas to be the hardest part. Been racking my brains all year trying to think of stuff. My best one would take too long, so been slowly coming up with others.

Buddy, I got more game ideas than I'll have time to make in my lifetime. Give it to icemann, maybe he wants to do something with it.

    Getting ideas is easy.

Knowing which ideas are good is the hard part.

I'd say we all have a few spare ideas flying around.
Might be an idea for a new thread, post your crazy game ideas you have no intention of making.

In my case, I like to make a list and add to it over time as I think of new game ideas. Later on, come back to the list when it's got enough and choose one.

Way ahead of you. I time travelled back to the past and made this exact thread you are talking about. Huzzah!

Wrote a blog post about what I've actually been up to for the first 2 weeks of this company.

Ok, as for an actual progress update on Stilt Fella:

    Levels: 90% done
    Outfits and unlockables: 30%
    Languages: 30%
    Audio: 60%
    Systems: 80%

    Still to do:
    Implementing Steam Leaderboard
    Implementing Steam Cloud Saving (probably)
    Implementing Steam Achievements (probably)

Steam page should be going up... soon. Currently putting together a list of gaming sites to email, places to self-promote, and writing a press release.

In my experience, Cloud Saving is really easy (so long as you do it the easy way and just have Steam back up the save file). Achievements aren't difficult, but they are kind of a lot of work, setting up icons and so on for each one.

Ah, thanks for the info. Haven't looked into that stuff at all yet, but good to hear it won't be too tricky.

Yeah achievements are annoying to set up but straightforward.

Trading cards are a bitch, you need hi-rez images for all of them, then like multiple levels of badges, then Steam backgrounds.... hnngh.
