I have Norton and have never had that issue. I would like to know what caused it specifically. I'm now on windows 11 with a new computer. But my laptop was windows 10 and never had that issue either.
Edit: There for a while when I got a new version it would flag it, but I would tell Norton its okay and I was fine. Now for the last several versions it never flags at all. I assume that once you okay it enough times it just allows it. But I'm not an expert. Please post when you figure out what it is.

In Norton I found a place (under Security/Advanced/Antivirus/Exclusions) where I could exclude the folder where I keep AL and all my Thief FMs. AL seems to be working normally again now. It's odd how Norton did not report what it was doing (it isn't shy about putting up messages), and how the problem came out of nowhere recently, but it seems to be fixed now.
Hey Fen, I'm moving computers and would love to keep all the info in my current version of angel loader (fm scores, notes etc). Is there anyway to do that?

It's all in the AngelLoader folder itself, inside the \Data directory. Just copy your AngelLoader folder over and it'll all be there.
And speaking of which...
AngelLoader v1.10.2 is out.
General:
- Added support for Sneaky Upgrade 1.1.12.
- Language files are now re-read whenever the Settings window is opened, allowing new ones to be added without restarting the app. This also improves startup time when many languages are installed.
Fixes:
- For The Dark Mod 2.13, Training Mission authors are now detected again.
- Fixed Dark Mod screenshot list auto-refresh was broken when screenshots directory didn't yet exist and then was created by the first screenshot being taken.

I can't seem to get Dromed to load for a Thief Gold mission. I tried loading it in a different

Usually a second window will pop up allowing me to load a save file. I highlighted with a red arrow where it seems to be hung up on "loading gamesys". I was patient and waited an hour for the load to complete. But it's stuck.
Do you have a solution for this problem, or can offer some advice ?
I did some quick testing. I made a clean Thief Gold folder and put the NewDark 1.28 files, including DromEd, into the folder by hand. When starting DromEd (manually, not through AngelLoader), it opens a window (without a menu bar) and says "Loading gamesys" infinitely like you show. I then created another clean Thief Gold folder and ran RoguePatcher 1.28.2 on it, selecting to install DromEd and DromEd Basic Toolkit, and then DromEd works properly when opening it. It might be that you need the DromEd Basic Toolkit then, but I'm not familiar with it other than that the patchers let you install it. Or if you want to just let a patcher handle it, then it's TFix if you want NewDark 1.27, or RoguePatcher if you want 1.28.
Lots of information there to work with. I'll look into it, but not right away as I have a lot of other things on the plate at the moment. As an aside, I haven't upgraded Angelloader yet and still using ver 1.10.1, if that makes any difference.

This is on DromEd's side in any case - AngelLoader merely tells it to run.
It was not easy, but I finally got dromed to work for me. I'm not sure what finally did it, but I think installing RoguePatcher was the key. But I kept botching the installation process. Seems a lot of my files were "read only" so I had to run through a whole mess of them to change that property before it would finally install. Once installed I generated a report to pinpoint coordinates of missed loot. But the display font was too small to read
I think there is a separate fix for that, which I'm inquiring elsewhere.
All this for 194 missing loot. I truly am obsessive.
Hey Fen I tried to open AngelLoader today and I am getting a message from windows 11 "Publisher Could Not Be Verified” Warning in Windows 11 do you want to open this file.
I did not get this yesterday and was not prompted that an update happened.
Is there anyway to fix this? It is not a major problem just annoying!
That is weird. I have windows 11 and I just tried again to make sure after reading your post. Angeloader opens normally for me. I will watch this thread as I'm curious to see what Fen finds out.
Well, it is what it says. I'm certainly not a verified publisher, and if I wanted to be I'd presumably have to pay the $1000 a year or whatever, which no hobbyist dev does, so yeah. Google it and figure out what Windows security setting to switch off, might be SmartScreen, otherwise I dunno, I turn all that nanny crap off on every Windows install, myself.
I have a workaround, using Thief "!FMSelect" in steam Thief Gold install and also applied TFix. For Thief 2: Metal Age, I have a Steam install, which is 1.18 (I think valilla-default) version. I installed the T2 GoG version, used T2fix on it, which added New Dark 1.25 and T2 FM Select. These both work. Angel Loader says it extracts FM, which the directories are correct for the correct installs. It simply crashes on my Windows 11 64 bit 24H2. No errors, logs or anything, just a brief black screen then back to desktop. I can only update AngelLoander. I've been wanting to play Thief: The Black Parade for the first time, but Angel loader didn't work. The Thief Gold "!FMSeclect" does that installs in the steam directory for Thief:Gold after Tfix adds the !FMSelect, this way does work. !FMSelect is life T2 FM Select.
I will do some more research one idea is to allow all .exe files but that could be asking for an intrusive program access to my PC . Like I said it isn't that much of a problem only annoying.

It it happens again (or if anyone else has the issue), you could try adding AngelLoader's folder to any exceptions lists for Windows Secruity (e.g. antivirus).
Also, the file itself may be blocked. See here:

May also be worth moving AL to another folder. Anything in Program Files will be protected by default. Downloads may also be protected, or at least have some higher level of scrutiny, since that's what most people use by default.

That is odd. Some screenshots would help.
Are you able to look inside the zip files (e.g. with 7zip, Windows' own zip tools etc) to check that the files are intact?
Another thing you could try is renaming your AngelLoader settings file (AngelLoder folder\Data\config.ini, close AL first), then reopen AL and see if it now finds zip files (just in case something in settings has somehow gone awry). Try the same with FMData.ini. If renaming the latter resolves the problem, but you really want to recover things like FM play time, completion status etc you could copy some things manually from one to the other and see if a specific FM's data is somehow causing problems.
Click the "Show only unavailable FMs" button on the top bar (red page with an X). That'll show FMs that are in the database but it can't actually find them on disk.
Clicking on the red X removes the two that are in the picture below, so no missions are visible.
Pics below are of my missions folder and AngelLoader when started. I was on mission 2 of Godbreaker before the .zip files were no longer visible.

Your filters are set to Thief 1 and Thief 3. So Thief 2 FMs are hidden, except for Old Gods which I assume must be highlighted as recent? (It's selected so I can't see its row background color, and I can't see your Show Recent At Top filter button either).
The fact recent FMs are not filtered out per game seems like a bug to me, I can fix that one, but yeah.
You know what's probably happening actually, now that I think about it, and the fact you said the files just stopped showing one day: You probably downloaded Godbreaker recently, right? And you probably have "Show recent FMs at the top of list" enabled, and so Godbreaker was showing even though it was supposed to be filtered out, due to the bug above. But then 15 days expired and the FM was no longer considered recent, so now it's filtered out (as it should always have been, given your game filter buttons there). That's my guess.

It looks like you're right. All I had to do was click on the "clear filters" icon and everything is back.
I think I was looking too deeply and assuming 7zip files were being seen but not zip files. It was just coincidence that they were the most recent.
