You okay? You seem a little on edge.

Spoilers are evil. Well, maybe not evil, but bad. Very bad.

Anyway, I missed arraignment, so yeah, I'm on edge. Supposedly I'm freed from that duty because of mental illness, but, well. Let's just say that the American penal system does not treat people with mental illnesses kindly.

I hope they incorporate some of the combat ideas from Sekiro.
I think I'm about where you are - pumped because it's a From Software game rather than anything in particular from the trailer.

    *Watches three seconds of it*

Looks like Dark Souls. I'm in.

I suppose I'm a little disappointed that it recycles so many concepts and even assets (the chest even has the little coiled chain to the right), but open world Dark Souls?
Yeah that's a day one purchase for sure.

Iím disappointed that it doesnít seem to have incorporated any of Sekiroís combat mechanics, but I guess they wouldnít work as well for PVP. Plus nobody liked Sekiro except me anyway, so maybe itís for the best.

Or an RPG, for that matter.

Elden Ring will be locked at 60fps on PC, will support Ray Tracing

Shoddy Japanese developers are still tying game logic and physics to framerate? Some things never change. Glass half full, at least it's not capped at 30fps.

As long as it looks good and plays good who cares?

Framerate directly affects playability. Higher framerates = the sooner information will be relayed to the player. Not having uncapped FPS is a sign of shit coding practice, which is sadly still common with a lot of these Japanese developers.

Sounds like you need a better computer.

More like need better developers to take advantage of people's better computers. ALL of the Soulsbourne games on PC since DS2 have been hard capped to 60fps.

These are the same bums who had the 60fps durability bug in DS2 on PC that went unfixed for several months. That was a PC port from a time when the OG console versions were still capped at 30fps.

Do you even play these games? They don't seem like your taste.

On another topic, the "network test" plus my Youtube viewing habits meant it took some willpower to avoid spoilers. I learned my lesson from Breath of the Wild, where I already had a detailed idea of the opening plateau before playing. Kudos on From Software for allowing recordings and streams of this content, though.

I have already heard some semi-joke comments about the ER network test being 2021 GOTY.
