No need for you to apologise, Beltz - it would be like asking the head of Sony to intervene because I couldn't get a VHS tape to play in their Betamax VCR
Or people wanting an adapter to play 8mm on their VCR.

I just cant find a way into the dark wing... where on the roof? which roof? on top of the tower where you get the wand?

Orfeus21 Go up to the roof just north of the tower. If you are standing just north of the tower, go north a short distance and you will see a staircase on your right that leads down to the door to the dark wing.

The wand had no effect on the monster although I really wanted to destroy it. The good thing is that it can't detect you if you keep still in the dark. Found the red haired girl and led her out of that place the same way i got in by using the lantern to have her follow me but turned it off when I heard the monster. Overall a good mission but that thing with the paintings, mirrors, statues and books took a long time to figure out since there were no clues to how they were supposed to be used.

The clue is, that you look in the lower rooms. If you do that, you see which items that shall be placed.

I'm really loving the atmosphere and music in this fm. I got all the statues, the shell mirror, blue and red books and 3 paintings.
Nearly 3 hours into the fm. Can you pls tell me where I can find the missing items? thank you!

I'm glad you like it. It sounds like you have the items you need. You just need one of each other. Look in the lower rooms, then you'll see which items you must place.

I mean the two rooms below, in the tower, where you put the items on the third floor. When you have the wand, you can enter the dark area, and then find the basement.

Fun mission, loved the candles left behind cuz who wants to haul that stuff around. Took me longer than it should have for the puzzle, searching for the 3rd painting that I never found but had the correct one already.

    Hi,

    I'm absolutely stuck

Do I have everything to solve the puzzle?

    - Mirror: empty, M, with crack, shell

    - red book

    - dark painting

    - Statue: right hand, yellow, white

maybe I miss the gray statue, but I can not find it ...

Look more closely in the children's room for the statue.

Anyone know how to kill the ghost? Maybe delete some game file? Ghost + everything dark makes it the most annoying thing I've ever seen in a fm.

Hi! You don’t really need to. I was also scared when stumbling into it the first time; however, upon closer observation there are some possibilities to avoid meeting.

    Hint:

Staying outside the entrance door to the dark wing, wait until you will hear no ghostly sounds.

Find the lantern. From the entrance door to the dark wing take right. First you discover a couple of chests, then lantern.

Find the stairs leading down. For that, from the entrance door to the dark wing take slightly left.

Wait near the stairs until you will hear ghostly sounds. It means that the ghost goes up from the lower floors (the dark wing consist of three floors). Hide outside the entrance door and wait.

When the ghost will reach the upper floor where you are now, it will turn left from the stairs and start to walk around. It will give you the time needed to go down the stairs.

Once at the 2nd floor, you may want to find a door leading to the store room (the ghost does not come into it), or to go downstairs to the 1st floor.

If you chose to investigate the store room, wait there long enough until ghost will go down and up again. Do not follow him to the 1st floor as it has the marble tile.

Being at the first floor, find the door and pick the lock.

    Absolutely Brilliant!

    Really terrific mission.
    Architecture interesting.
Decor and attention to detail absolutely top notch.
Gameplay and design engrossing and compelling.
The final stage was chilling and very well executed.

I know you did not invent everything used in this mission. That's what the Thief community has excelled at: going beyond anything Looking Glass was able to do and making it generally available.
But knowing how to use the elements in Dromed and create something special is a real skill and an art, and this was special.

Favorite details: the candles dropping onto the table when a candlestick is snatched; the black and white swirl, plush carpet in the master bedroom.

tone_lord: Thank you, for the mini "review"
That's what you want to hear, so you keep the motivation going and (MAYBE) continue making FMs.
