I'm not sure what that is.
@Stingm, Thanks. There even a clue near by, for some reason I missed that.
Decided to take more deeply look on the bonuses from 2nd mission.
I found all bonuses in 2nd mission.
Have another question: what to do with "Oi Tylah" meat piece?

I'm not sure what that is.
Seems like that "piece of meat" is an Easter Egg. Just not sure if it's all or could be somehow used somewhere.
To get this item you need:
- Collect all chess pieces.
- Go down to the secret chess room.
- Take a ball from there. It's better first to use this ball as expected here - to open another Easter Egg.
- Go to the toilet, near Dinning Room and drop it into hole.
- Push the button and wait until the item will appear.
Where is the secret chess room?
Hes talking about The secret basketball court opened when you find all chess pieces.
I had no idea about the meat thing. I hope someone knows!
Edit: I got the meat and I will leave it to Tanner or Pukey to spoil this easter egg.

Im in mission 2 i finished all the objectives wheres the exit to finish the mission i'm lost.
Overall it feels more like System Shock 2 than Thief: mostly indoors, clearing apartment after apartment, not really sneaking but exploring and finding keys to locked parts of the level.
What's good:
Heavy use of rope arrows.
No more gongs!
Very comfy setting overall without nasty zombies or haunts but much hygge wood and fireplaces style estate.
No real loot requirements
No pacifism, so can do things more old-fashioned way. Villagers are like seen it all, they won't judge.
Attention to detail, like apartments that are in most close proximity to the winter wing section are also haunted with lesser ghosts which appeared after some people got affected by the curse spread from nearby. Or making people do some sinnery of course, speaking about room 6.
What's bad:
Too dark! First version was too dark, so dark I couldn't finish it just because I missed Nightingale's lockbox on the top of the armoire, I would never find it on my own because it was totally hidden in the dark! this version is still dark which doesn't help me to explore or admire beautiful sights.
Which makes most of the whole winter wing section being the "find that wood for the rope arrow in the dark" game.
I'd appreciate much more another way out of the winter wing opening upwards, probably up the overgrown tree, letting the player do some parkour on the roof and admire view of the estate from above and then up the vista above the canyon rocks.
Also I'd add the way for clever player to catch these damn bones from falling into pool of swords after breaking the glass with some crates or other stuff player could drop onto upwards pool, and not letting them fall further, dropping on the crates and giving the player time to pick them shortly after flashbang effect falls off.

If you're a lover of puzzles like I am, this FM is for you. Absolutely brilliant.
There's nothing I don't like about it, it's an absolute masterpiece.
I still have a few chess pieces to hunt down, a secret and some swag.
I'll take my time finding them as I really don't want this FM to end.
Hope the authors will do more missions like this.
Hello,
for some reason Angelloader displays this FM as a T2 mission and also installs it in T2. It is in the folder where all my TG and T1 missions are but somehow Angelloader wants to do this in Thief 2. Does anyone have an idea what to do? The mission starts and is playable but looks vastly different and I assume that there would be hitches and bugs due to loading it up in Thief 2.
Thanks!
Would it be possible for you to provide me your copy of the FM so I can test it? All archives from the links in the original post correctly detect as TG for me (the Southquarter link is down though, so couldn't test that).
Yes sure, here it is on Google Drive:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/12AY...usp=drive_link
I did manage to circumvent Angelloader not detecting it as TG by installing it via FMSel and then afterwards Angelloader recognized it as a TG FM.
That one works fine for me too.
There is one situation in which AngelLoader could misdetect an FM's game, and that's if you already have the FM installed in the wrong game's installed-FMs folder before starting AngelLoader. On startup, AngelLoader will mark all FMs it finds installed in each game's installed-FMs folder as being for that game. This is actually why your workaround works - it sees the installed FM in the correct game's installed-FMs folder, and marks its game type correctly.
I don't know if you did have it already installed in the wrong game's folder, but if you did, what you can do to fix it is right-click the FM and click "Uninstall FM", then right-click it again and click "Scan FM". Now it should detect the game properly.
If not, please let me know so we can continue troubleshooting.
Sorry, forgot to get back to you.
I did what you suggested and it worked just fine. Thank you very much for your help. I assume that FMSel made an error before and thought this was a T2 FM which is why I had it installed in Thief 2 and Angelloader must have just picked up the suggestion afterwards.
I have finished the missions by now and have to say that it's one of the greats. I didn't have the time to find all the chess pieces but tried to do as much as possible in both missions. Thanks for a grand time!
I guess I'm a bit thick, but...
I'm at the point in the second mission now where you put the tablet onto the plate in the courtyard. A secret compartment opens with a scroll, which tells you the location of the five statues where the five "aspects" are suppoed to be. I already found those statues earlier, and they all have some kind of compartment which seems to be openable with a key. I have no idea which key that is suppoed to be though. I'd really appreciate a hint. Seems that I'm the only person in this thread who ever had this question...
Oh, and as we're at it... there was also talk here of a "winter area" of the dining room. I didn't find that either, but, I found a hint on that in one of the readables as well. No idea where that could be either.
Have you been to the owners office yet? Search it well. Hope this helps.
Thank you, I will do that. I've been there, but, only found his journal. Probably have to search more thoroughly (gamma is really low on this mission...).
Edit: Was exactly the right info (and exactly the right kind of hint I needed to still have to search, but at least know where remotely I should look). Thanks again.

And... finished. Seriously, hands down one of the best, if not THE best FM I ever played for Thief Gold or Thief 2. Perfect in almost every regard. The only thing I'd really criticize is that it's too dark. I get it, it's what the authors were going for, stylistically, but, it's just too dark in most place.
I thought Mission 1 was pretty good, little did I know what was coming in the Hotel!
Incredible job guys, what an experience. You might just have subtracted some years off my life, but I'll take it!![]()
Thanks to all involved.
I'm late to the party, but great mission. Truly wonderful atmosphere. Thank you!
I am however missing one of the Bishop chess pieces (not the one in the crypt). Not sure which clue it is as I found the Riddle book after I'd found most of them already.
The two bishops are fairly near each other, and since they are I'm not sure which one you have. The two clues are 1) If me you'd steal, seek heaven's peal, and 2) A little angel, heaven bless'd, hath took me to eternal rest.
Hope that helps and glad you're liking the mission!
Ahhh I was so close! I was almost certain it was the heaven's peal quote and I had guessed that meant a bell, most likely in the Chapel, but I never noticed that one!
Thank you so much, and yes I loved the mission. I had a lot of fun searching around, but still missed exactly 1000 loot! Going to try Morbid Curiousity next![]()
