Part Three of my Search For Obscure Stuff I Barely Remember That Was So Bad It Was Good (blame the 90s nostalgia thread!):

I'm looking for a movie or TV series and I only remember very little about it. Starting with, I can't even remember whether it's the former or the latter - all the time I've been thinking it was a movie, but now I'm not so sure. I'm pretty sure it was a kids' movie or series, most certainly a live action one.

I watched it with my sister some time in the early 90s - I was 6-10 back then and she was 10-15, but she doesn't remember it at all. For some reason I think it was Czechoslovakian, but I can't say with any certainty. I'm fairly certain it was from one of the Commie countries. I don't think it was from the USSR, nor the GDR.

What I mostly remember about it was a guy, who was a robot, but looked 100% human. The only difference was that being a robot he didn't have a stomach but could still eat - all food would drop into a drawer in his "stomach" and he could then pull that drawer out and throw the food away. And he had a third eye buried under his hair at the back of his head, which he could open at will and see what's behind him. In fact, even on that eye part I'm only 95% certain it was from the same movie. I am 100% certain about the drawer in the stomach thing, though. And I don't remember the whole thing being "icky" or anything - like when he pulled the drawer out the food would be there as if it hadn't been eaten - so a whole untouched sandwich for example and not a masticated slush.

And I think it was a secret that he was a robot - I'm not sure if any of the other characters knew about it, but he would mostly do his stomach and eye thing where not so many people would see. And I think you could hear the food dropping in the drawer - like a metallic "plonk" or something like that.

So, TTLG kru - you are 1 for 2 so far - let's make it 2 for 3?
