    I wish this forum had an option: "don't even show the ignored posts". So I wouldn't be tempted to click the "view post anyway" button.

    Tony, everything you write here is wrong, twisted, an outright lie, stupidity, misquoting, or just evil lying. Please stop reading Breitbart and other fascist media. Their goal is to misinform you, make you afraid, and their ultimately goal is to convince you to vote for the Republicans. Those media are useless. And in the end, they go against your best interest (and the best interest of the large majority of Americans).

    Ezekiel and Emanuel are *both* Hebrew (Jewish) names. Not Irish at all. Didn't you tell us you are jewish ? How come you didn't know that, and I do. Also, on Emanual's wiki-page it is clearly stated he was born in Jeruzalem. Man, do you never even try to do some basic verification of the stuff you read ? When you have a question, can't you even look at wikipedia ? If you don't care about the nonsense you spout, how do you expect us to care about anything you say ....

    It seems Emanual has written a book about the dilemmas in health-care when dealing with issues about life and death. Indeed, those dilemmas are often hard or even impossible to deal with. I'm willing to bet you that Emanual has never said "everyone above 75 years of age should die". Or anything outrageous like it. I bet that this is business as usual: Breitbart and other fascists misquoting others for their own political gain. They've been doing that for years now. (Need I remember you about the edited video of Biden that was posted here 2 days ago. That's the level of journalism you see on Fox News, Breitbart and similar others so-called "news sources").

    The virus impacts Jews and Italians more than others ? Where the heck did you come up with that ? Highest risk groups are: the elderly, people that are already ill, smokers (and ex-smokers) and obese people. Please give us a link where someone is stating that Italians are impacted because of their DNA. I call bullshit.

    Sigh.

    Today situation in Lombardy (the deaths are LESS because they've discarded some of them - only 14 - as Coronavirus-related)

    1660 -> recovered
    4898 (!!!!) -> hospitalized
    732 (!!!!!!!!!) -> ICU

    Only in Lombardy

    Yeah, I remember when the Breitbart crowd brought up that same quote during the lead up to Obamacare, when Sarah Palin screamed about death panels on live TV, and rumors of forced euthanization being implemented in Europe spread about across the internet.

    Don't let anyone tell you that the Tea Party conservative movement isn't based heavily in fear.

    If you happen to use something like Firefox, there's a Greasemonkey script that does that: https://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/24465

    I use Palemoon. Which is a fork of Firefox. It can run Greasemonkey scripts. I'll check out your script, Starker. Thanks.

    Edit: the script works in Palemoon on Windows. There is no Palemoon for Android, so on my tablet I use Firefox. Unfortunately the script does not seem to work in Firefox on Android. I'll have another look at it later, to try and make it work on Android too.

    Is this because of my reply to Tony ?

    Tony, I apologize for the strong tone of my words. Sorry. But I do mean every word I wrote about the alt-right media. Let me give you an example that is very related.

    In 2002 in the Netherlands we got a new law. It didn't change an existing law, it was totally new. It was about euthanasia. Euthanasia happens in all countries around the world, also in the US. It's just that it happens outside the law, and nobody talks about it. But in 2002, we got a law about it. Doctors could finally help their patients without running the risk of being persecuted. Patients could finally make their own decisions, without all kinds of hindrance from people that have no business interfering with other people's lives.

    That law was discussed for 20 years. I agree with it. My parents (who are 80+) strongly agree with it. In fact, 95% of Dutch people agree with it. The requirements are very clear:
    the patient him/herself needs to request and initiate this, there must be 2 independent doctors who oversee this, the patient must be in incurable suffering with no possibility of getting better, both doctors must see no alternatives, everything must be documented and written down, the case must be reported officially, etc, etc.

    What do the right-wing media in the US report ?
    "The Dutch started killing their elderly, because they cost too much money".

    Jezus Christ. That pissed me off.
    It was 18 years ago, but the way Americans judged our laws, made by our parliament, for our people. And how they twisted and lied about it. It really pissed me off at the time.

    And what you reported about Ezekiel Emanuel is exactly that same style of lying and fear-mongering.
    Sorry if I overreacted a little.

    Sounds like we've got things under control.

    Hey, Nicker. I'd take one of those ass cleaners, but it looks sorta scary. What's it made out of?

    Jesus Christ, man. Do you have to have the way the world works described to you in exacting detail?

    That's triage. Giving help to those more likely to survive ahead of those who are probably going to die. It's what hospitals do when they're in desperate situations, short on resources, and not likely to see any relief in the near future. here's the definition.

    In case anyone is having a hard time finding toilet paper, you can get a roll delivered daily for the low cost of $10 per week by subscribing to the New York Times.

    As usual the entire conversation become everyone engaging in the #1 tactic political liars use: deflecting from and then ignoring the main point.

    The dude literally wrote a column saying "Why I hope to die at 75" and the text of the article is a basically a virtue signaling argument about why people should just be allowed to die one they're 75.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine...-at-75/379329/

    So "alt right media" has nothing to do with this. I've literally just given you a link to a column penned by his own hand advocating 75 as the right age for people to die.

    It's not any kind of dog whistle about this bizarre windmills you all are tilting at. It's about Ezekial Emanuel and nobody else

    Worth noting this dude has a rather "interesting" background. His family has quite the revolutionary spirit:

    Emanuel is the son of Benjamin M. Emanuel and Marsha (Smulevitz) Emanuel. His father, Benjamin M. Emanuel, is a Jerusalem-born[3] pediatrician who was once a member of the Irgun, a Jewish paramilitary organization that operated in Mandate Palestine. He provided free care to poor immigrants and led efforts to get rid of lead paint due to its negative consequences for children[4] and as of 2010 lived in a suburb of Chicago.[3] Emanuel’s mother, Marsha, a nurse and psychiatric social worker who was raised in the North Lawndale community on Chicago's West Side, was active in civil rights, including the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE). She attended marches and demonstrations with her children. In a 2009 interview Emanuel recalled that in his childhood "worrying about ethical questions was very much part and parcel of our daily routine."[5]

    His two younger brothers are former Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and Hollywood-based talent agent Ari Emanuel. He has an adopted sister, Shoshana Emanuel with cerebral palsy.[6][7] His father’s brother, Emanuel, was killed in the 1936 Arab Riots in the British Mandate of Palestine, after which the family changed its name from Auerbach to Emanuel in his honor.[4]

    As children, the three Emanuel brothers shared a bedroom and spent summers together in Israel.[4] All three brothers took ballet lessons in their childhood, which Emanuel says "hardened us and taught us that if you do something unusual, people will take potshots at you."[5] Emanuel and his brother Rahm frequently argue about healthcare policy. Emanuel mimics his brother's end of the conversation: "You want to change the whole healthcare system, and I can’t even get SCHIP [State Children’s Health Insurance Program] passed with dedicated funding? What kind of idiot are you?"[4]

    Yeah, and like everything, you mouthbreathing dipshits are reading too much into it, always looking for an angle on how THEY are gonna fuck your world. It's like you're all forever searching for whatever straw to grasp onto, anything that can provide you an excuse to scream the sky is falling, and to OPEN YOUR EYES, SHEEPLE!

    I mean here's article by a guy explaining why he doesn't want to linger past what he sees as the last of his prime, and you're all using it as evidence that he's some boogyman out advocating for The Glorious Up And Coming Totalitarian State that we should euthanize our elderly.

    It doesn't make you look smart, Tony. It makes you look like you're trying too hard to be paranoid for the simple sake of being paranoid.

    Jesus, I wish you people would shut the fuck up. You are not special, and you are not woke to any secret truths. You're just a fuckwit on the internet who's stupid enough to believe the truther pages on Reddit.

    And hey, more scumsuckers taking advantage of a crisis for personal gain. This one hits close, because he's from my hometown.

    A. They're not socialists.

    B. For about the same reason why we haven't managed to get out more than 12,000 test kits, while still having potentially hundreds or thousands waiting for results: they were unprepared for the severity of what they're now facing.

    If coronavirus explodes in the US like it has in Italy, we won't fare much better.
