Six days ago Ron Paul declared the Coronavirus outbreak a hoax.

Today, Rand Paul became the first senator to test positive for Coronavirus.

While I wish the guy a speedy recovery, I can't help but appreciate the irony of it all.

How the hell did Weinstein get it? I thought he was being kept in isolation in prison.

He could still be near guards and other prisoners even in passing.
Just goes to show you where it can reach.

Yeah, those flu numbers everyone loves to quote are after it's been rolling around for 12 months. We're only in our 3rd month of Coronavirus.

But they aren't necessarily poachers. Many of these animals are farmed.

SORRY, I did not mean to down play it, I well aware we are fucked is we reach critical levels at the ICU's. few are taking it seriously as none of the high profile people who have it have died, you need a few movie stars/politicians/sports players to eat it before others take it as serious as they need to, it took magic johnson getting aids before people wrapped their willies ............ welcome to Murika.

The first number is the one of the *HOSPITALIZED* patients ("ricoverati" is NOT "recovered" in italian; "guariti" is "recovered" ones)

6000 deaths.....(and not counting the not positive cases to the test.....'cause they've died at home -> 8000/9000 is maybe a good estimate)

The Democrats had legitimate reasons to block that bill. They wanted to further expand unemployment protections for people, and nix some provisions that would allow corporations a blank check to do what they want with their stimulus money, like using it to buy back their own stocks, like what they did in 2008. The Republicans are, of course, playing the partisan game by claiming the Democrats are playing the partisan game.

One thing I've discovered about all this is that it's amazing how many people don't read beyond the headlines.
