    The rest - 75% ish - are over 50.

So under 30s and under 20s are NOT "the most infected part of the population".

    Why must we do this?
Because they're NOT screening the young people with NO severe symptoms. NO SCREENING at all outside the hospitals. Of course the numbers are totally "wrong", like the ones of deads with NO test done on the body.
Our physicians can't do that and can't prescribe the test 'cause we have NO test kits outside the hospitals here in Lombardy.
    Run out of kits!
Everybody here thinks that the number are totally wrong (virologists too), because we are screening only the ones with an advanced stage pneumonia symptoms!
Of course we got those elder people numbers but we're totally missing the expression of the infection in young people if not related to some hospitalized old man or woman (parents / grandparents)!

And the "test results" are not even solid evidence about the "real" numbers and the predictions, we must search for the Ig in the blood to have some solid evidence!

Add the fact that "clinical recovered" patients are NOT virus-free, only "symptoms free"+"negative test result for some days" (no virus in the mouth, can't say anything other! No information about Ig level in the blood! )

So maybe we're injecting infectious people with a subclinical cronic condition in the population (like the young people maybe already are)

All they need to do is get a bunch of people to rush the beaches coughing, then watch everyone clear out of there like a Benny Hill skit.

Till Lindemann (57), singer of Rammstein, is infected. He has pneumonia, and is hospitalized. Even if he recovers, his lungs might be damaged, and he might not be able to sing or perform anymore. End of Rammstein.

Boris Johnson (55) is infected. Has light symtomps. Keeps working. End of UK.

The mask is NOT needed if every infected wears it BUT nobody with no Ig test (not the mouth test) can actually know if he is infected or not.

Of course the mask carries some risks (contagion from OTHER pathogens living in the mouth/throat), wear it ONLY around people.

Take the town next to mine (Pontida), Cisano Bergamasco.

The data related to positive test results are totally garbage 'cause you can see "29" infected but the deads are already @24! In this (dead)pool only 10 were tested. The others have simply "died".
Normally we have 2/3 deaths per week.
And believe me, not even during WWII our little towns did have those number of deaths in 2/3 weeks.

New Orleans mayor says Trump should have warned city to cancel Mardi Gras that is now believed to have caused huge spike in coronavirus cases in eerie parallel with 1918 Spanish flu pandemic in Philadelphia when 16,000 died after parade

As weird as it is to take Trump's side for once, that's really more on New Orleans' mayor's shoulders there. It's his city. His job to set more granular policy at the local level.

    And in more recent news.

Trump challenges Cuomo: "I don't believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators"

TRUMP is being a moron there. 30k ventilators sound like it's not enough just for NY.

It's gonna be a shit show. We're already up to 92,000 cases, and it's not expected to peak for another 2-3 weeks.

Remember that patients must stay on ventilation for 2-3 WEEKS.
    Not days, weeks.
If we can't find the perfect drug to AVOID the inflammation process in the lungs that FLOODS them with blood and water.

Infection is not the priority for who has already developed the intertistial pneumonia. It's the pneumonia that kills.

Why the fuck would the EPA shut down, relaxing all their regulations for this?

Hey, we've got this coronavirus thing to do deal with, let's uh...burn some tires! Dump your waste products in our rivers too while you're at it. We have to save the economy!

NEW ORLEANS -- Throngs of revelers may have brought the coronavirus to New Orleans during Mardi Gras celebrations here.

But the city’s poverty rate, lack of healthcare and affordable housing, and high rates of residents with preexisting medical conditions may be driving its explosive growth and could make it the next U.S. epicenter of the outbreak.

The number of known coronavirus cases in Louisiana jumped to 2,305 on Thursday, an increase of 510 cases from Wednesday, and a total of 83 deaths, according to the Louisiana Department of Health. Nearly half of Louisiana's cases -- 997 -- came from New Orleans.
SHOULD have dropped a nuke in N.O. while mardi grass was going on, that way the death would be concentrated to the morons and not spread around other states as the clowns traveled back home.

People, do you know where are the testing stats for your country (test completed for every day)? Specifically: Italy, Germany, Spain, France and USA (*).

Testing provides some useful proxy data (~> how easy it is to find positives ~> how many are walking around obliviously).

Can find my own country fine - as i speak the language and every imaginable kind of stat data is in obvious centralized place with convenient stat-graphs'n'shit (with multiple formats of raw data given). Some notables... It seems that males are unjustifiably reluctant to go testing (25+ only, younger do not have any bias) ... embarrassing. Testing matches our demographic mushroom pretty well, with the only exception of a very slight dip in 0-14 range (possibly due to lack of symptoms?) and noticeable dip in 15-24 range (youth rebellion? and lack of symptoms?). The virus does not seem to have any preferences: adjusted to demographic mushroom - it looks pretty much the same~ish over all age and gender groups. With, possibly, exception in 0-4 or 0-9 group having less (lack of symptoms would explain testing participation dip and lower rate of positives - not infected or already over it at test time).

*) Thought that CDC would be an obvious place, but the data there seems to be absurd nonsense/incomplete. Too small numbers and seemingly back-recorded to initiation time (what the actual fuck is this?) with an insane lag of 4-7 days. The typical test takes 4 hours (add patch assembly and other such processing lags) - no test result should take more than 24 hours ... ever! Given lag implies that, maybe, the test employed takes ~3 days (really?) and has huge processing/transporting overhead unrelated to the testing itself.
