2.We're kinda fucked if we do, fucked if we don't. If we could have endured another month, we'd be on the downswing of this. We could start doing the phased progression back to normalcy, spend the next few months being careful, and we'd have this thing beat with
    3. only minimal damage to the economy, and a better case scenario on the number of deaths.

4.It seems we can't even do that. I guarantee you we'll have a number of states wide open before May 1st rolls around, right when we just pass the crest of number of infected. We'll see a repeat of what happened in 1918, when some cities broke quarantine too early, and experienced another peak.

5 I wonder who Trump will blame then.

6.I wonder how many people who attended these rallies contracted coronavirus.

    7.I wonder who they'll blame.
    well that is just it

    1. 2 million WORLDWIDE infected and deaths well under 50k? come'on.

2 again with our govt being ruled by a bunch of retards it's no wonders the locals are restless. thoe M'fers are getting their damn haircuts and doing as they please while they tell others to stay the fuck inside blah blah blah.

3 the damage is done, how many are going to close because they operated on thin margins to begin with?

4 everyone doing their own shit is like having a peeing section at the pool, shit simply does not work, liberals bitched at cheeto hitler because he wanted to close things down and then bitched because he wanted to open things up saying he did not have the power to do it, make up your damn minds.

5 already shifted blame to the states where it actually belongs, dumb fucks had mardi gras & then cried because trump did not tell them to shut down? please.

6 hard to say, Darwin might visit them AND anyone else who comes in contact with them and they can't see that.

I'm expecting the demand to be answered the moment Trump announces the end to the stay at home order. People will stream out, and try to resume their lives as usual. They'll probably practice a bit of social distancing, probably carry some strong hand sanitizer with them, but they'll forget it soon enough. Once everyone's past that first week, it'll feel like old times again. We'll all be taking things for granted.

Then we'll see a repeat of what happened in March, a new 2nd curve upwards. It'll start out with a trickle. The talking heads will say it's nothing to worry about, just the residuals hanging around. Then it'll increase, then increase again, slow and surely, and so on and so on. Once it gets to a certain point, we'll start reimplementing the stay at home orders. This time though, people will be more resistant to it, thinking "god, not again." You'll have the liberate blah people saying that they've tolerated enough tyranny, and they won't just ignore it, they'll openly flaunt it from day one on.

This time, it will properly spread, and the results will lean more towards the worst case scenario rather than the best. More people will die, the economy will take an even worse beating than it would have if we just stayed the fuck inside for another month, and this last month will be for nothing.

You know the old saying about those who don't learn from history being doomed to repeat it. This is exactly what happened to the cities that broke quarantine early back during the 1918 pandemic, and hey, it's what happened a month ago, when everyone was doubting it back then.

Do we really want to go through this a 2nd time? Apparently we do, but now with gusto.

If you think businesses can't afford to close for a month, guess how well they can afford it when they still have little to no income and a full payroll and other expenses.

Somehow, all over the world, governments are handling this. They are paying 70%-100% percent of a lot of people's salaries, so that companies can afford to keep them on the payroll. And that's what a state is there for -- to provide that security net. But of course this wouldn't work in the US, because that's socialism.
thanks for pointing out it's not up to the mango messiah.
the consumers can't do shit IF the business have to do what the states want, open your business here and face a fine, people are getting $1000 fines for being alone at the fucking beach..............
why are our POS cock sucking governors getting THEIR damn haircuts and doing as they please while they mandate others are jailed or fined ? this do as I say & not as I do is why we end up protesting .....

well, why others protest, I am keeping my midget ass home and going out just for groceries .

Yeah, and we're just three months into this. Just over a month here in the US. Do you really think we're nearing the other side of this?

2 again with our govt being ruled by a bunch of retards it's no wonders the locals are restless. thoe M'fers are getting their damn haircuts and doing as they please while they tell others to stay the fuck inside blah blah blah.
Yeah, well, what can you do?

You said it. The damage is done. May as well try to take the more responsible route, but no...

When the fuck did the liberals bitch about the shut down? There was some static from the China ban, but they didn't complain over the worldwide travel, nor the stay at home orders.

5 already shifted blame to the states where it actually belongs, dumb fucks had mardi gras & then cried because trump did not tell them to shut down? please.
Given that the federal government was there offering threat assessment, and they were specifically asked if the parade should go on, give the potential for an outbreak, yeah, they do deserve some of the blame.

But hey, why blame one group when there's so much blame to go around? To be truthful, no one here in the US took this seriously until it was upon. Not Trump, not Cuomo, not anyone.

6 hard to say, Darwin might visit them AND anyone else who comes in contact with them and they can't see that.

There's currently no evidence that this will be slowed down by the heat and humidity. It's not the flu. It has its own behavior.

    1 yes, summer baby.

2 made bourbon chicken and chicken fried rice. the bourbon chicken sucked and I loved the chicken fried rice.

3 most can't afford that. guessing they will try to salvage what they can by defying the state.

    4 interweebs.

    5 exactly.

6 because it's easy to blame one side

    7. EXACTLY why I opted to play safe and stay home, last thing I want is to be the reason why my older brothers/sisters got sick, not only that just like other countries WE can't afford to overwhelm our hospitals.

shit storm brewing because BOTH sides are going full retard.

New York City has made a devastating revision to its already massive coronavirus death toll.

On Tuesday, the city's health department released a revised COVID-19 death count that included those who were not tested but were presumed to have died from the disease
shit like this is why the alex jones crowds are jumping up & down , liberals going full retard just making shit up based on feelings does not help keep the conspiracy nuts down.

They've already been classifying coronavirus deaths from probable victims, per the CDC guidelines. The Alex Jones crowd has already been running with it.

    It's nothing new.

There's one story I read about a pregnant woman who caught a severe case of Covid-19. She was on the ventilator and everything. The stress ended up putting her into labor, and she miscarried her child. That was counted as a coronavirus death, because the CDC guidelines say that any death that occurs either directly to coronavirus, or due to complications from it, should be counted as such. The conservative crowd lost their shit over it.

"probable" is not a FACT my friend, how the fuck do they go back and just say "well it could have been the damn Rona because well they had a runny nose at one point in their life, fuck it, let's re-certify their death as rona "

exactly, the guidelines are BULLSHIT. how the hell are you going to know what the real numbers are with such bullshit guidelines? even GLOBALLY the shit does NOT make sense. liberals operating on "feelings" is going to hurt you all over the place, all this shit is being tied to the GW lies and gross miscalculations already and it's a shame to say righties have a damn point there.

If there's anyone focusing on feelings over logic, it's the Trump bunch, always assuming the worst of any situation, and ever fretful that some mysterious They are coming for them to steal their freedoms, and kill everything they know and love. Fake News, Biased, Radical Leftists. They're ALL coming for them!

As far as New York is concerned, there are only so many test kits to go around, and with bodies stacked up in the fridge trucks waiting to be counted, the best thing to do is look at their initial diagnoses, and take a professional opinion. It doesn't mean that they're gonna find some kid who was diagnosed with Covid-19, but died cracking his head open on the sidewalk after falling off his skateboard as a Coronavirus death. That's the paranoid chucklefuck contingent assuming as such. These are people doing what they can with what they have in a very trying situation.

...and really, how the fuck do you appease a group of people who are trying to read the very worst interpretation into everything you do? These are people who are looking for something, anything to be angry about, and if they can't find it, then they'll make it up.

    1. LOOK me in the fucking eyes and tell me those CDC guidelines are not bullshit?

    2. there are fines & jail time for violating bullshit orders , the state does NOT have the power it pretend it has, they simply can't stop people from moving freely as they have .

They kinda do, and they kinda don't. States do have the right to enact some extreme measures in equally extreme circumstances, up to and including temporarily curtailing you right to free assembly. If there's due cause, an order is temporary in duration, and it's not overly punitive or selective, they can do quite a bit.

The question is how much your citizenry is willing to tolerate. She went too far. Preventing your voters from going across the street to visit their neighbors during a pandemic is something you deeply suggest against, not judiciously enforce. Things aren't exactly going great, but we're not at DEFCON 1 here. Not yet anyway. An overly draconian response when it isn't warranted is about as bad as a lackadaisical one, since people will likely buck against it if it goes too far.

    4. you talking about liberals or righties? because BOTH obviously fit the bill here.
You could pull bothsiderisms on this to some extent. The difference is that while one side occasionally engages in some bullshit, the other side wallows in the stink of it.

There's only one group who believes in QANON and Alex Jones, after all.

It's really more rules for thee, anarchy for me when it's convenient. Libertarians aren't really libertarians these days. Well, marketwise they are. As far as social issues and national pride goes, they're so conservative, even the conservatives think they're conservative.

People are revolting everywhere. They've been looking for an excuse to revolt for awhile now. The lockdown has given them the chance.

May 1st bugaloo yall! We're suffering under a real life tyranny here!

Really honestly, the California lockdown doesn't seem all that extreme.

That lone guy getting dragged off the beach was kind of extreme, but the beaches are shut down there, and there are no lifeguards on duty. It might seem kinda stupid to go through so much effort for just that one guy, but you know how litigious people are these days. If he drowns, you know someone'll sue the state.

    Translation...

Liberals: using the best available data to estimate the number of deaths in order to be able to plan the response and err on the side of caution.
Liberals: enforcing social distancing in order to reduce deaths and keep the load of hospitals to a manageable degree, so that patients and medical workers wouldn't have to die unnecessarily.

    "guestimate"............................

you are shitting on science & FACTS because your feelings over rule science when it suits you.

the states are going full nazi retard and people are fighting back because of it, fining people because they sat in their cars while hearing service is BULLSHIT.

all the liberal governors are going full retard doing as they wish while forcing the people to do something else.

take Newscum & Lord Farqaad from Michigan as examples, where the fuck are their mask? why are they NOT social distancing? why can they get haircuts? what the fuck gives them the power to shut down businesses and travel between your own fucking homes?

the day the POS morons at the top lead by EXAMPLE is the day people might take them seriously. it's funny as fuck & disappointing at the same time to see liberals bitch moan/groan about hydroxy because it's NOT "proven" and in the same breath accept deaths being classified as Rona deaths based on "Feelings" w/o actual fucking test, that is some serious cognitive dissonance there.

Though Whitmer's updated order is perhaps the most inhibitory in the country, other states and localities have faced similar backlash as they seek to clamp down on any type of social contact. Police in Greenville, Mississippi, on Thursday issued citations to churchgoers attending a service at King James Bible Baptist Church, notwithstanding the fact that the congregation listened from their own respective vehicles. They broke the town's curfew, however, and as punishment, law enforcement doled out $500 tickets—a strange message to send in a clobbered economy, where many have lost their jobs.
