I forgot it was there, thanks. Now I need to get into Karras quarters to turn the golden valve on a green glowing pipe. Irina says to wait by the doors and sneak in when he releases creatures. Which door?! There's so many? And how often does he release creatures? Ahhhh!!

If you've got Irina's Ledger, you've already been in the right area. It's around the huge room with the giant, slow elevator. Try exploring the upper floor of that room, with the golden angels, and if any golden-brown doors you find are closed, make sure you find the levers marked 'SOUTHERN EMERGENCY EXIT' nearby

Don't understand. Not sure about Irina's Ledger ? I just have a note/scroll that has Irina name on it. I've been to the security room but don't see a security chamber on the map. I have: Vibrating dust, the eye, water crystal, raw energy, naphatha barrel, and installed blank canister (can't throw switches - they just buzz). Visited Karras. Nothing is happening and don't know where to go or what to do next.

Are you sure you've been to the Security Room? It has the camera controls and is full of bodies. Irina's Ledger and the Factory Key are on a chair together, and the Ledger triggers new objectives. The Security Room is indeed marked on your map, noted as 'upstairs'. You've done everything right so far... the Ledger will tell you what's left.

Thanks, I missed the ledger on the chair. Someone earlier said it was in a different room.

The 2 switches worked ok for me to get into his chamber. And, the door to the exit is locked ? (i have no key for this lock). I completed all the objectives except the optional eye objective.

Edit: I found the exit and completed the mission.

    Playing on expert.

Well, this one is quality and really creepy.

I encountered a mech creature that looks like Karras, moves like a zombie, he is always coming as close to me as possible. When I'm in dark, he doesn't bother, but the moment I want to move on, he follows. Fire arrows and my sword seem to be useless against him. How to get rid of this creature?

Sorry, since you're playing on expert, you'll have to do your best to avoid him as best as you can. Use geometry to your advantage.

Okay, will try. Just tell me there aren't any more of them. Freaking tough to avoid!

ticky: This is a unique enemy; it's Kernel, the leader of the contingent that remains faithful to Karras despite releasing the rust-gas on his other followers. This form is his 'reward' for his continued loyalty.

I'm not usually a huge fan of Mechanist-type FM's but this one had me hooked! Great plot and map. I played on Expert, so it was challenging but not unreasonably or frustratingly so. Excellent work!

I can't find the fire element for the eye objective. It's the only thing I'm missing. Playing on expert if that matters.

Mission finished in "normal" with two hours of gameplay. Overall i had a positive experience.

    Strongest points :
    -Gameplay
-New ambient/music sound which were very good and fit well with the scenarios as well with the different situations presented in the mission.
-Storyline offers a good amount of readables that allows you to know well what happened in Builder's paradise.
    -New Ai creatures.

    Weakest points:
-Some areas have an interesting layout (reminded me quake 3 sometimes), but some seem unfinished, some have misaligned textures, also some shapes could have edges textures to provide contour around them, and some brushes are aligned in a confusing way.
-Choice of some textures, didn't fit well in some areas ( but i understand one had to use only t2 textures due to the contest rules) .

Thank you for this mission, i will give it a good note/vote and i will replay it in "expert" .

    spoiler:
It's in the armory, which is locked.

To find the key you need only look a little around the place where you find a readable where a Mechanist is asked to bring the Armory key down to the sewers.

    Stuck on expert.

I've been everywhere accessible I think. I have Raw energy canister (Storm), Naphta barrel (fire), and even corrosive water from a "secret" area. I've been up at Karras' and encountered the two metal creatures moving like bugbeasts. Then sneaked back down to the assembling factory area. Now everything is packed with superfast robot guys and I am a bit annoyed by them. I don't mean the ones standing on the two sides of the corridor leading to the throne. I mean the whole factory area, etc.

Should I go back to an earlier save and just not go upstairs to Karras before time? And, BTW, how to continue? I think I'll need a key to the extraction station.

    Thank you!

ticky: Going into Karras' room is essential to progression; you did it at the right time. You have to make your way to the Security Room (a readable in the Worker's Quarters has this information), which your map indicates is north of Karras' Quarters. You can access it from the upper level of Karras' Quarters with the large throne elevator. More of the map will open up from there.

[SPOIL]So I can access the security room from the upper level of Karras' quarters. Right! I did not notice when that door opened up to the right from Karras'.

What purpose has the vibrating boulder?

I'm currently trying to shut down the factory, while being terrified every second since I know this invincible(?) zombie is even following me in the factory.
3 things: water supply, 5 valves - I did that at the beginning of the mission, after the last one a creepy sound startled me. - was that it? | overheating, do I have to turn on light switches and 1 generator? | wrong ore, How does that exactly work? I threw the "corpse" a combat bot on the production line with the rubble but it just lays there and nothing happened.

Edit: Nevermind - it worked. Underneath the production line there is a an opening. Throw the body in there.

But still - what am I supposed to do with the vibrating boulder?

I ask the same question and i think i know why now. There is not a lot to read in this mission (thank God) but you have to find the stuff to read to understand the purpose. Regardless, I'm still upset that caustic guacamole was not on the menu.

Whoa, I was just about to have a heart attack, when I started the mission like normal, it crashed to my desktop only to realize, I was using the enhancement texture pack. I can only use the original texture pack that came with the game sadly. P.S. This mission appears to be buggy for me even with the original texture pack enabled, I notice some stuttering and then suddenly crashes to my desktop without any error message.

I wouldn't really consider this a sad occurrence. Most "enhancement" texture packs are terrible and ruin the OMs. Also, I do believe the contest thread recommends you don't use them for these missions, as they're all made without their awful changes in mind

Can someone give me a clue to find the artefact ? I have the different elements and I think it's the only thing I'm missing.

You have to go back to the beginning where the first watcher is, the area where you first encounter the creepy zombie guy. (Is he a "throne"?) You find a blood covered wall with numbers 1-4, remember the arrows. You pass a big hall with what appears to be a giant cannon or looking glass, go up the stairs and pass by the watcher you saw earlier. Behind a door there is the artifact. You need the right position of the switched to reach it.

BTW. I'm using enhancement pack "Necro Age Mod" and everything works normal. I doesn't ruin anything for me, textures and objects are breathtaking. I also didn't change any audio options and it works like any other FM. No bugs so far.
