How are people playing 1.1? They accidentally zipped the root folder, not the files in it as a package. Are you guys downloading 1.1 and then fixing the files manually? It should just be opening to Running interference if you try to play

Yeah, I just unzipped and rezipped it properly

Yes, just to back up what others said, if you get the lockpicks early via the "lean into the door and flip the switch" routine, you will break the mission badly. The entire flow of the mission will be disrupted, you'll miss conversations and objectives, and quite a few areas will be inaccessible. You can still finish the mission, but you'll only be getting about half of the full experience. Definitely restart with version 1.1, or just don't use the exploit.

I may be the most degenerate gamer here, what with speedrunning the game and breaking it for my own amusement. But even I wouldn't try to continue after frobbing a switch through a door

Well, the problem is that even if players do the right thing and don't use the exploit, the damage was done if they even frobbed it. Hard to know that you've affected TeleportTraps and other things just from opening that door by accident!

FYI, zip file is fixed now.

i'm still on 1.0 but seemed to hit a different roadblock, if there is one. i've done a full lap across the sewers and underground, gotten blackjack and lockpicks, the monsters have spawned and i've opened up the shortcuts back to the large manor. but no additional objectives have ever triggered, not even a loot goal (sitting on 4000 or so right now). i have all the starting objectives ticked off and can end the level at the Millhold gate any time, but i'm really baffled as to what key events i could have missed.

Did you get your lockpicks after going through the yellow sunlight manor the first time, or before? When you exit out the doorway where the guard is sleeping in this manor, there is a conversation that triggers additional objectives. If you exited out through a kitchen area with a canal, you had your lockpicks too early.

I'm actually stuck right before that room, behind the bars.

Good point - if you're leaning against the door and accidentally frob the switch, you door may not even open. And you'd have no idea things in the background have already been triggered.

Yea, I heard that conversation but it never changed anything. I think I may have loaded a save in the middle of first hearing it because I wanted to back up and check more of the manor before giving it my attention.

    @ Ghouljokes

Have you found the mangled key? If not after you've got your rope arrows head back to the dead spider, a hatch has opened in the tunnel next to where you went to get your rope arrows, you'll find a way to open that gate and from there go for a swim.

Hint: There's a gate that won't open because the gear is missing. You need to find the gear.

Bigger Hint: The gear is in the factory, which is the building with an elevator in it. Getting to it is a bit tricky, but if I'm remembering correctly you shouldn't need any supplies or items from outside the factory.

This was totally amazing! The ambience, the lighting, the brushwork, the atmosphere are all out of this world. Honestly this might be my favourite FM ever, I still have most TMA20AC missions to play, but I believe it will be hard to top this.

    This mission is sublime!

Who on earth is the author? I initially thought it was Firemage, the sewers reminds me of The 'Whistling of the Gears' from last year, he likes the industrial look, but then again I've a feeling it could be Dr K, but I've also heard that it's a collaboration so who else may be involved? Could it be Skacky, Squad & Firemage & Dr K?

Whoever you are, you have created a masterpiece of design, of intrigue and exploration, with an atmosphere second to none, this mission is top quality game play from the moment you start. It does what the very best missions always do, it urges you to hunt down that elusive way forward, all the hidden areas and to find as much loot as possible without referring to the forum. So whoever you are, thank you for this gem.

Btw. I've eventually found my lockpicks (this time going the correct way, and thanks to all who tried to help earlier).....all I have to do now explore the map again.

It's at the very beginning. Once you drop down into the sewers, on your right there's a room with a broken window. It's on the floor right there.

Have you found the sewers? You need a gear to access them.

Gear in factory, SE building with elevator.

Blackjack is behind broken window at start of sewers.

Having a blonde moment right at the end. How do I remove the forcefield from the egg? Just a hint please, no spoiler
And can I echo Fortuni, this is a superb mission, one of the best I've ever played, thank you to the author(s) for this gift.

Not all curtains are just walls. Listen carefully to any kind of whirring noises.
