Strange screen tearing artefacts (vsync or something else?)

    Hi guys

So I've recently gotten Thief2 installed again in preperation for the 20th anniversay contest.
I installed the game from GOG and ran the T2Fix on top, selecting only:

    "NewDark 1.27"
    "Complete Mission and Resource Fix"
    "Thief 2 FM Fixes"

The game, for that matter runs fine, but I get these strange screen tearing artefacts when panning my view around... It kind of looks like vsync errors and is only visible when moving the camera (and maybe only when moving it fast?)...
Its kinda hard to explain, but I tried taking a picture of it on my screen (I for the life of me can't figure out how to actually get the image to insert into the post, but heres a link:

Any idea what this is caused by? How to fix it?

Edit: I'm running the game from my laptop which has a 16:9 - 1920x1080 resolution screen, but is connected to a Dell 16:10 monitor that runs 1920 x 1200...
I've played around with different both desktop and in game resolutions, and while it does seem to have an effect on the issue, I'm not really sure tehre is a setting that just fixes it....
Ideas and input are most welcome!

It's worth having a look at the troublshooting.txt that should be in the installation folder for the game (if you're using GOG Galaxy then click the settings icon / manage installation / show folder to get there). There are some settings that are in the cam_ext.cfg file, located in the same folder, that are worth investigating to see if they can reduce or eliminate that effect. I don't necessarily think it's directly responsible for your issue but I did have to disable or enable the "d3d_disp_limit_gpu_frames" setting that it mentions when encountering stuttering or tearing when moving / looking around on a system quite some time ago. I would recommend taking a backup of the file first in case you wish to easily revert after making any adjustments.

Nice, Iíll give it a shot tonight!
I did end up finding a resolution combo that reduced it enough that I just decided to start playing with that, but it sure would be nice to get rid of entirely.
    Thanks!

Apologies for bumping this but I am experiencing the exact same issue as Tommyph1208 with screen tearing. I have T2Fix installed and am also running Thief 2 on a laptop with a monitor so I think the screen tearing effect may have something to do with resolution settings but I haven't managed to find a setting which eliminates the effect. Did you have any luck with solving this issue?

I did not no... I found a combo of screen and ingame resolution settings that all but eliminated the issue, and have just been playing the contest missions with those settings :/
