    New T2FM: Looser - July 2020

    Hi !

    My "new" mission is done:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/5mp8w3hdqe..._v1.1.zip?dl=0

Special Thanks to the betatesters: Jayrude, Lord Taffer and Psychosis.
And the people from the discord server who helped me.

Languages: English/French. Thanks to Apiai for the french translation.

It's my 2nd mission. My first mission was 'Hellerhouse' from around 2003, which was
more of a birthday gift for someone and wasn't built with a grid and couldn't be
optimized, because of all the errors, as far as I remember...
This one is optimized and slighty less noobish.

I made a first version of this around 2004 and was even betatested by someone, but
I lost interest to finish it (I think because of WoW) and later lost the files...
So, this was made from scratch and has another antagonist.
The antagonist is similar like an antagonist in the real world. I guess, every universe
    has someone like him.

Because I like to 3D model, texture and compose, this mission has a lot of custom objects, textures
    and music/sounds.

Warning from the readme: "You will encounter some nudity, profanity and popculture references."

    Important: Turn on fog !

    Screenshots:

    Have fun.

    Cheers,

    Stringgod

I played Hellerhouse in August 2019, not too long ago. Getting around the guards on the stairs to Patti's room was quite the challenge. The hidden laboratory under the Burrick pen was neat.

It's great to see you release another mission 17 years later!

I beat it in 2,5 hour and collected 2200 loot and 3 secrets. That was neat mission. It really reminds me old point & click adventure games. It was fun mission, but few times I got stuck in small passages few times. Rope can be used on everything. I can use it on locks and suddenly 1 rope vanish. I can use compass the same like key item, which is a bit annoying when I want open door, but instead I'm "using" compass. Climbing in Paradise was really tough. Note about code is getting written every second you are near code. I would prefer to be once and that's all. Also I would like to have Notes page.

Didn't complete optional objective about Dagobert's paintings. Speaking of which, why objectives mention Dagobert and all books mention him as Trumpet. This confused me. Another thing I had huge problem was figuring how to deactivate all robots. I managed to do that, but I still don't get it how taking 1 bottle managed to shut off all bots.

That was very creative and fun mission. Also I wonder if it's possible to enter room visible from Red Gem Area.

Wow, nice. You found 3 of 4 secrets, but not the "underwater reading room". That means you know what I look like in real life.
To enter the room you mentioned you have to find a hidden button (can be reached from the elevator) in the captains quarters (the one with the toilet).

I know about the rope problem, but don't know how to solve it.

The compass thing is new though. I never used the compass on a door.

The bottle should be named 'fuse' ..... There is a hint in the workshop book "To control all robots, we had to install an antenna on the roof of the tower." .

You're right about Dagobert. Should say Trumpet everywhere. .

Edit: Also pretty cool that someone posts a FM on my birthday. Thank you ^^

    Need a couple hints.

Where is the key for the safe by Trumpet's desk?

How do I get the yellow gem? I see where it is, but I can't get it without waking its owner.

    Examine the paintings.

His grip is too strong .... until he's dead. If you have the device, the bots should kill him.

Well, how can I get into the tower? I cannot open the gate to the yard. I also have a plenty of rope arrows but they're not very helpful...

A Stahl - the tower is made of wood, you have to use your rope arrows If you look from below in one part of the tower is a platform with a rope hanging, you have to reach that area somehow. I manage to do it but it's not easy you have to jump from one rope arrow to another until you get closer to the platform rope.

I still think to start rope-jumping I should be able to come close to the tower. But I cannot open the gates or jump over the fence around the tower. There is the key?

There are 2 other ways to reach the tower. I made that rope objective optional, because I don't want to force anyone to rope up. Even though I like some roping action ... But you need the crowbar and there is a light switch and the light gives a hint where to rope first.

    One more question:
I suppose the blue crystal is in the Inn/bar.
    Where is it exactly?

Finished with 2700/2850 gold and all secrets. And now I'm ready to critique.
Actually I liked the mission, so instead of gameplayish things I'll talk about bugs.

    1) Sword. I had a sword from the very beginning. Later I've found another sword in the spider cave.

    2) Scrambler device. Always worked differently. The last time it just prevented bots from appearing.

    3) Shark was dumb as a log. Was there an intention to make it... err... sharkier or it is just a floating log?

Good to see the mission has the official GRUMPY seal of approval!

With regards to the 3rd point: The shark is just meant as a cool decoration. It can only injure you if you swim into it. Sharks aren't aggressive at random so this is an actually somewhat accurate depiction of the animal.

I noticed that 5 minutes ago... I gave him a sword for testing purposes and forgot to delete it.
    No one noticed this.....

    2) Scrambler device. Always worked differently. The last time it just prevented bots from appearing.

That's odd. The device only changes the team, nothing else. That must be another bug.
Sometimes it doesn't work, if you have it in your inventory. Better to place it somewhere, fe. under
    the piano.

    3) Shark was dumb as a log. Was there an intention to make it... err... sharkier or it is just a floating log?

The shark is just a gimmick. It's an elevator. I don't know how to make him a working AI. But he is deadly. He kills by touching you.

I just thought Let's make a shark. Nothing more.
But he got a purpose. Leading the player to the RedGem .

I think he looks menacing, when you stand on the pier and he swims by.

I made a trip back to Paradise and then back to the Prison. After return I noticed corpses of treebeast, Hammerite and 2 Pagans lying on heads of 2 thieves and a keeper. That's quite a funny view.
