Thank you for your encouragement, Random_Taffer. I'm glad that my work is bringing something good into the community. It's funny that you posted that just now, too - I have a new texture pack up! Painting Pack #4, which is at the bottom of the original post. It's something smaller to keep the thread active while I work on this next big project.

Now, if only I could figure out how to make these cave art pieces look good. I may put this one on the shelf and see instead if I can tile a texture from a Lascaux Cave wall to make up for it. It still would work, wouldn't it?

    **NEW: PAINTING PACK 4

I'm working on a somewhat larger texture project right now, but I don't want this thread to go inactive. To combat this, I decided to put some more paintings up for people to download until I have this next project done. It has 25 files of either 256x512 or 256x512 pixels, all of which are saved as .GIFs. It's 2.22 MB in size, so not as big as some of the previous files have been. Can't say that'll be the same for this next project I'm working on....

Here are some more ancient ruin textures for your cities of old and places still inhabited. The aesthetic is Assyrian mixed with Egyptian, so it could fit into Karath-Din or one of its colonies or outer settlements. (The Precursors used hieroglyphs instead of cuneiform, however, so it might work better for an ancient people further out from the city. (Alternatively you could say that cuneiform was the common man's writing, with hieroglyphs saved for important documents, signs, the royalty, tombs.... ) Texture replacements have been named after canon Thief textures that they could slot over, and hopefully that will make moving them into Dromed texture families easier. They include replacements to turn the talismans into cuneiform tablets (or tablets that double as readables); textures to turn the talismans into animal sigils; cuneiform textures to replace the hieroglyph signs in the Lost City, and animal sigils to replace the hieroglyph signs; a plain clay texture to create clay bottles out of wine bottles, but which could also be used for clay vases; various carved clay textures for small, lootable vases, but which also could be used for bottles; a repeating brick texture with various animal motifs (fish, bull, serpent-lion [serpopard], bee/hornet/wasp, and sirrush) in the same recolours as the first pack's, but with flowers at the top except for the bees; a plain brick texture with a floral border; and various replacements for Lost City wall and catacomb decorations, featuring the sigils and clay carvings from the aforementioned textures. There is also a bonus "Xtras" folder with all of the banners I've released thus far (except a couple of tapestry textures I need to hunt down), now with torn versions of them and banner support poles. It also features three new tapestries that also have support poles and torn versions. This means that, if you chop at them in-game and they're an object, you can now have it that the banner is ripped after you use your sword on it.

This pack has a whopping 118 files, and is 19.12 MB in size. Please let me know if there are any tiling or mapping errors - I couldn't check the texture objects in Dromed. I have to figure out where the TFix high-res textures are so I can go in, replace them, and preview objects with my new textures on them.

Finally, after much saving, accidental saving, content-cutting, scrapping textures, and a bit of mistakenly-deleted content, this texture pack is done. I'll have a preview up for it when I don't want to scream at the pictures for existing. 118 files of this....

A preview is now up for the Ancient Reliefs Texture Pack 2. Please excuse the word jumble in its description - it was very tiring trying to finish up this pack after losing some pieces of it.

If anyone has any requests for textures, I'm open to ideas. In the meantime, I'm getting ready to put out a small painting pack in the near future.

Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? I had to focus on other things, so this thread was left to sit for a while. I'm happy and thrilled to see that people are still downloading the textures available and finding a use for them. I think I owe some people here some texture work, as well, so hopefully that'll be caught up on soon.

This is a pack of over thirty new custom textures for objects. Ten are bedding replacements for fancy/noble's beds (bed.GIF, BEDCOVER.GIF, and bedh.gif), ten are tapestries (for replacing banners and the BANSTAR textures), and ten are some extra painting textures thrown in for fun. There's some Hammerite-themed material in here, and a few things that skew towards the Pagan aesthetic. One bedding replacement looks like it's made out of moss, so I thought that'd be something to keep in, as an example. A preview image will come soon that shows all these textures. The file is in .ZIP format, and is 3.87 MB in size.

Just in time for the new Dromed contest, here's a texture pack with Deadly Shadows-inspired guard stuff.

**NEW: THIEF: DS DERIVATIVE GUARD PACK #1

This 2.02 MB file contains 30 .PNG textures based off of/inspired by the Thief: Deadly Shadows City Watch. It has eight guard replacement textures with a DS-inspired uniform (4 bowmen, 4 swordsmen), four long banners with torn variants, four short banners/tapestries with support bases and torn variants, and two fancy bed replacers. If you'd like, you can edit this (and any of my other textures I've put up here) as needed to fit your Dromed needs.

Thank you, skacky! I'm glad you like them. A quick update on the latest pack, that said: the textures aren't mapping right in Dromed. I think I messed up on the proportions with the final save of these textures. As a result, facial features will look exaggerated up close, and the armor at the shoulder-arm connection will wrap around to have a clipping error look. You can still use them in your missions, but people getting close to the models may spot these errors. I'll hopefully have all of this fixed soon.

The other textures in the pack should work as expected. If they don't, please post here and let me know. The other object texture packs should also be working properly.

The TDS-inspired guard textures have been fixed! They look a bit different now and more like their Metal Age counterparts, but their texture mapping should work now.

This is a heads-up that I'm likely going to be replacing almost all the current download links with new ones. I'm thinking of going back and resaving .PNGs as .GIFs so that they use up less bandwidth or data when being saved. I know a lot of us have slow or limited Internet at times, so my hope is to make the textures more accessible to taffers whose modems disagree with them.

please keep them as .png! .gif is both too limited (8 bit colour, no transparency) and it compresses worse anyway.

I forgot about those limitations. Here's a solution, then: I'll provide two download links! One file will be of GIFs, and one file will be of PNGs. That way both types of files are kept, and missionmakers can choose their preferred file format.

I meant to come back here, but I lost all my files I was working on/had in a cock-up with my drives. I'm hoping to add more to this thread in the future. Hopefully you guys have been having better luck with your projects!

There are two variants of the original pagan01 and pagWom1 files with new outfits, and then a blond, redhead, and elderly male and female Pagan for you to use. I'll be making a second pack with darker-skinned Pagans in the future, as I couldn't get the skin colours to look realistic with any darker-skinned Pagans this time.

The lack of a darker-skinned female model for the Pagans meant experimenting and playing around with the base assets was needed, so any critique on the recolouring is appreciated. There are two outfit variants for each male and female model, and include a wavy-haired, an afro-haired, and an elderly texture.

    Some quick updates:

    - Mediafire is giving download key errors on some of the older links. It seems to be remedied by waiting for the site to generate a new download key and redirecting to the download when that's done. This all can be done in your browser, but some connections may lag.

    - My next pack idea was to do a reskin for the Pagan child model. There's a female one in game, but does anyone know if a Pagan boy model exists anywhere? I'd like to make skins for that too. If not, I'll try and make do with the existing male Pagan model, and people can shrink it in Dromed to make a boy out of it.

    - The Deadly Shadows-inspired pack is missing siding textures for the bed replacers. I'll fix this probably around the same time as I upload the Pagan child reskins.

    - I've decided not to create separate .GIF versions of everything, due to time and space constraints. If anyone needs a picture in .GIF format, please message me with the specific files or packs you'd like re-saved as .GIFs.

There's no pagan boy, but also no reason the girl model couldn't double as a long haired boy.

That's true. The long dress could pass/double as a coat on a wintry model. If I can come up with something good, I should consider making some winter models with this as an idea!

Luckily, I was able to start rigging something together that can be used on a scaled down PaganManWhite or PaganManBlack model. There needs to be some tweaking to fit the mapping on the model to make it look childish, this said. I'm likely going to post the textures here before I finalize something. I'm worried some of the scaling and proportions might make look it too cartoonish or like a caricature.

    **NEW: TAPESTRY PACK #2

A 1.24 MB file that features Pagan-themed tapestries for all your Dromed needs. Some are public-domain paintings and textures, while some of the spookier-looking ones were generated using the Craiyon AI drawing tool. There are no bedding textures in this one, but nothing's stopping you from doing your own modding to turn these into beds for your missions. Six textures have been provided in total, and all having match torn versions and support poles.

**NEW: ANCIENT RELIEFS TEXTURE PACK #3

Comprised of 16 files and totaling 7.82 MB in size, this pack features four Mesopotamian stelae turned into brush textures. The textures are tilable, are compatible with past Ancient Relief releases, and feature left-facing and right-facing versions. They were made in mind to be walls and building decorations, but use them for floors, for ceilings, or whatever else your heart desires. Using them in Precursor missions is one way to feature them in your missions, as well as any other ancient or abandoned places.
