I just completed the mission, it was quite difficult infiltrating the bank since there is no master security switch to disable all of the security mechanist cameras and traps. Other than that, it is a fun bank mission. Can't wait for the Third City Bank and Trust mission (Hopefully it will come out soon) It will sure be even harder and more intense than it's predecessors, haha!

With fortuni's hints as to key locations, and more exploring, I managed to nudge the loot total up to 5,837. But still only 9 out of 10 secrets, just can't find the last one.

Marbrien have you found all the deposit box keys? If so there are only 3 other secrets to find.

From your loot total I guess you found the secret hiding the 3 tapestries, the others are both in the managers office.

Thanks, but I don't recall three tapestries, unless it's the secret to the right of the main stairwell (as viewed from the swimming pool) in the mansion with the masks. If not, could you give me a hint as to their location?

Yep, that’s the one. 3 tapestries, canopic jar and a lost city jar, all under the stairs. That’s 395g and you need less than that to get max loot.

Thanks. I missed a secret in the manager's office. I've now got 6,037 loot, that's enough to lay low with for now.

still making my way thru this... but I like the title....
reminds me of some of those cartoons I grew up with... ones that in which they have a bank robbed.. and it was called the "second national bank" or the "last national bank"....

Didn't find 2 deposit box keys, but still made the loot goal just fine. Thanks for this mission! The layout was well done.

Enjoying the mission so far, but I must be getting thick and can't figure out how to get into to the vault. I throw the switch and run downstairs in less than 33 seconds but the door is still closed. What am I missing?

You have only 30. So just try again. The simplest way to shortcut is jumping into the fountain near the vault door.

Damn but getting in the vault was hairy, a blind jump from the top floor into the fountain & try to hit the water seems to be the only way, I lost count of how many times I died trying to hit the sweet spot

And I have to compliment you on your key hiding ability, I missed every one of the vault keys on the way in, even when I knew roughly where they were by checking in this thread, they were absolute sods to find on the way out, I still missed one of the ones in the mansion though I have an idea where it probably is

And I still only found 8 secrets

I feel a replay is in order

Good mission, very enjoyable, thank you

the secrets in this district as so well hidden! there's lever in the bank manager's office that wasn't even a secret; the bookcase nearby looks suspicious, but I can't find a switch for it.
where I should have looked, and it went where I thought.
the vault was very tricky! wish I had found more keys before I got all the way in has anyone gotten in and out without setting off the alarm?
only three secrets, and short ~2000 loot.

Overall enjoyable mission where Lord Randall's mansion and the Bank have nice architecture and gameplay. I liked that getting inside the vault was quite hard and the security inside was tight. I think only the outside areas could have been a bit more polished, but other than that I enjoyed this FM. Good job!

HauntHunter: The vault door should stay open for the relevant time period depending on difficulty. E:30s H:33s N35s. That feature was added quite late so hasn't had extensive testing. It's possibly a bug if you are still experiencing issues. The only thing I can think of is if you save/load after opening the door it sometimes loses the timing information, I think. I don't think the ai can close it. Since there are 3 doors there and 2 get deleted I suppose it's possible the game somehow missed deleting one, but they are all on the same lever so not really sure if it would still open in that case. Let me know if you are still having issues and I will have a proper look.

It isn't hidden. Lowest (Grr, crazy Americans with their measurement systems who are not even able to COUNT THE TAFFING FLOORS) floor (first floor if you're not crazy). Just a classic huge round vault door. And yes, you need a key: the room is closed by the grates (it has 2 entrances if I remember correctly)

Iīve switched from thief 1 back to thief 2 and am so happy to see thereīs a new mission! Rooftops + bank + mechanists - I love it!!

    Iīve got two questions though:
    1. Is it possible to turn off the two cameras in the vault?
    2. Thereīs a bookcase in the managerīs office which can be opened 100%. I hit the hidden lever under his table, but nothing happens.. isnīt that the switch for this bookcase or does it sth. else?

I also gotta say the secrets (keys) are very well hidden, I definitely have to play this a 2. time to be able to find all of them

    @ Samantha

    1. No you can’t
    2. The lever under the managers desk turns off the floor trap in the outside lobby.

Ps there are 2 secrets in the mangers office.

I made it into the vault but I don't know how to lower the ladder. Is there a lever somewhere?

Also I found a small bug. When I knocked out the guy in the secure records hall he jumped back up and ran to a button, frobbed it and then fell down again.

Thanks Downwinder. I've seen it before and I know how the authors do it, but it takes an effort away from the player.

After I got the ladder down I noticed that I could use a rope arrow as well but I would have been too exposed.

Instead of using the ladder, you can also shoot a vine arrow into the grate on the ceiling, thatīs how I did it.

This only happens when he notices you beforehand (at least thatīs how it was for me). When I knocked him out without him noticing me beforehand, he doesnīt get up again.
