    VOTrap problem

    Hello
    I am trying to get Garrett to say something when he picks up a piece of loot. This loot is also linked to an objective that ticks off when it is picked up.
    I created a VOTrap beside the object and linked it to a gar* comment.
    I gave the object the property S>Script>TrigWorldFrob.
    I CD-linked the object to the VOTrap.
    The comment didn't play.
    I tried giving the object the property EngineFeature>FrobInfo>Script.
    I couldn't pick up the object, and the comment didn't play.
    Any suggestions?

    if you want to pick up the object as well, FrobInfo/World needs to be Move + Script.

    as for the VOTrap not playing: does it play if you trigger it from a button instead? does the schema itself play if in dromed you use play_schema gar999 (or whatever the schema name is)? did you use a SoundDescription link to connect it to the schema?

    (and just to cover all bases: have you got gen.osm loaded in your mission?)

    IT WORKS NOW!
    I gave the object (jewel) the StdButton Script instead of TrigWorldFrob.
    Got the idea from your suggestion about seeing if a button would trigger the VOTrap.

    i suggested that only to help debug what it was in your setup that is going wrong. StdButton responds to physical impacts as well as frobs, which is probably not what you want (try shooting a broadhead at your jewel now!). TrigWorldFrob is the right script to use.
