    King's Story Glitches

Would anyone know why I can no longer play King's Story? I've played it many many times before without a glitch but this time it's different. I have the latest Tfix and I'm also using Ben's HDMOD. Glitches are as follows: Missing textures in some areas, key is missing in the stables when the doctor comes to inspect the horse, (mission fails). Also, a 3rd horse happens to be humping the first horse ..LOL ..Princess dies but yet she still walks around and gets marries. The king and his guests don't disappeared after their conversation. Can't take the chapel key off the guard with yellow hat. Those are some of the main glitches, there are likely more. I've tried disabling the HDMOD folder by adding a (dot) in front of the HDMOD folder's name. I've tried deleting KS from my PC and removing all data from AngelLoader. Did a fresh install and looks like the textures came back but after a reload from my quick save, glitches were back with a vengeance, couldn't finish the mission cause I couldn't enter the room to get the evidence in doctor's office. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

Just spent 20 mins wandering round KS and didn't notice anything mentioned above.

Sounds like your Thief game is seriously messed up, would advise re-installing T2, patch with T2Fix and then play without any mods (esp HDmod).

Although playing via FMsel means you do not need to clean your Thief files as you used to when playing via Darkloader, some files do occasionally get dropped into your T2 folder/s. This is especially the case when you use mods such as HD mod and NecroAge. Use them at your risk and be prepared for weird textures, missing keys, humping horses = red flag broken T2 install.

If the FM looked okay when re-started, but things went bad after reloading the saved game/quicksave, then it could also be that the saved game became corrupted, and if one either continues playing with a slightly older savegame, or restarts from the beginning, things could stay okay this time. Worth a try, I guess. (Let's just hope the horse does not suddenly feel attracted to the princess and... ahem.)

Also, AngelLoader should be as safe to use as FMSel (and NewDarkLoader, btw.) nowadays. It's just ancient DarkLoader that is not recommended anymore today.

I have the same problems again.

    In THIEF2.log
Failed to load script module "nvscript.osm" (error code 1114)

Can this be the cause of the problem?

    Put a different version NVScript.osm (27.08.2012 00:22, v1.2.3 probably). It fixed.

Thanks for all the tips friends, I'm sure one of those things will work, as soon as I figure out what the specific problem was, I'll post the update here.

You'll find the latest script in the T2 Script Bundle, in there you'll find a different NV_Script.osm to the one found in KS folder (16/08/08 vs 21/08/2015).

All of the scripts found in T2-Scripts_Bundle are included in up to date T2Fix, so if you patch your T2 game with the latest T2Fix ND1.27e you will be up to date automatically.

    Not zip.
Change it in a unpacked folder.
The default path in the installed game
    \FMs\KS

ok so, I renamed the NVScript.osm file by adding a (dot) in front of it like this--> .../FMs/KS/.NVScript.osm The lamps finally worked which is good! The black voids were gone and the textures were back. I did a Quick Save and then reloaded. The black voids came back in some places but the good news is, the lamps still worked! This leads me to believe that the glitches that stopped me from ending the game might be gone. When I get a chance to play the whole FM again, I'll know for sure.
