That was a lot of questions.
Attic key is used in the spooky house. The museum is east of the hotel.
The code is in one of the apartments to the west.
One key is: In spooky house.
The other one in Brigantias courtyard.

I feel like my jump is shorter than usual, too.
Are Garrett being over weigh You get to the north part in part 2.

Too bad that you have bad experiences.

I guess it was better then.

thank you for the clues, Beltzer; sorry if I was harsh in my previous post - I'd been running (and jumping and falling) in circles and was pretty frustrated. The library puzzle was great! I went back into the house of shadows and whispers and search again for an attic, but couldn't steel my nerves enough to also find the other vault key.
    On, to part 2!

Liked the FM and appreciate the work that went into it. Hey, there are some great parts and not so great parts. This is not a $$$ game here. It's a fan mission. Yes, it has some warts (I agree with most of the complaints), but it has some great play (I agree with the protagonists).

Specifically on the lesser side, I think the loot on #2 was skimpy verses the goal. I also really don't like having to pick door locks just to open a room with no loot or clues. But then, maybe these were the places I missed a secret ?

I got two really good evenings of play with this FM. Better than watching TV.

maika & sexypat, the numbers for the code are in the president's office. I do not know whether you have to use switches to make the numbers visible, but I doubt it. If you still cannot find the numbers, look around near the bookcase.

Still nothing? O.K., here it is in plain text: The numbers are on the wall directly at the left side of the bookcase. If you see them, but cannot make out/read them, use Garrett's eye zoom.

    Well, that should do it.

That will hardly change anything. NewDark runs on a single core and uses an ancient version of DirectX that will make even the best computers struggle with very complex scenes. Particle effects and lots of objects in view especially will tank your framerate.

You obviously got to a place that you are not meant to go to. Me and the beta testers worked hard to prevent that.
    How did you get there?

    *EDIT*
I found a place myself. Damn.

Thanks. That's not the way i found
You wont see Brigantia in the last part. When you do a certain thing you get a new objective to see her, visit her and find some readable.
Thanks. You are "old in the game"

I think you are not yet at Lord Ducarius' mansion where the mask is. Go further east to reach the mansion; it is directly to the north of an area where large crates and a crane are located.

There are at least two ways to enter Ducarius' garden. You can take a direct route by using the crane to get over the gap before the garden wall and onto the wall itself, or you can search for an unexpected passage by going through the buildings standing east of the Hammerite area. Look for an underground passage there. I do not remember whether it was accessible from the roof of the southern of these two houses or rather from the cellar area of one of the houses. There could also be a way to get there from the Hammerite crypts. Anyway, one of the many passageways down there should lead you to a room with a long shaft up, ending in the Lord's well in the garden.

No no, its not that hard to find. Its the most north you can get. Its a banner above the entrance, with a unicorn and with a D under it.
It also has a well. Remember that north is to the right of the map.

To use the crane, you have to turn it into the right direction. The controls for that are located in one of the buildings nearby. If you still cannot find it: Look for a shack just south of the area with the crates. I think it is to the southwest of the crane base, just a few meters away. The controls should be well visible on the inside, on the northern wall, close to a window. Just one lever can be used - that is the right one.

thank you very much . I#m so stupid . it's very easy to use the crane

now i'm in the room with the mask . where can i get the key for the little lock and whree are inforamtions for the 10 levers?

A good source of information about how to get to the mask is in the guest room in which a rather small female guest sleeps. She also thought about stealing the mask, and has written something about this in her diary. I think it is located on a piece of furniture directly beside the bed.

As far as I remember, the key is hidden in the Lord's bedroom. Check the wall clock; frob it blindly if you cannot see anything - I also only found that key by accident.

The puzzle with the levers is dealt with in one or two readables. One of them - most likely the little woman's diary again - mentions a tower from which a window nearby can be observed. I think this tower can be accessed from the library which has one entrance in the hallway which also contains the main door to the mansion. Climb up in the tower and look for a window on the highest level of the tower. Open it if it is still closed, then look through it. You should see another window on another building's facade, and there are some picture-linke rectangles visible in the room beyond that window. Four of the rectangles look a lot different from the others. These symbolize the levers that must be used in order to open one of the grates before the mask. Use Garrett's eye zoom if you can't see the details well enough.

If you still cannot find out which levers to pull, here's a direct and plain spoiler: Use levers 2 and 3 in the upper and 2 and 5 in the lower row.

Congrats, Beltzer and those who contributed to this!! Seems lovely mission, nice atmosphere, familiar voices... I'll keep this for Christmas, though. Can't wait to play it!!
