Thread: Make your own AI-generated art

I've noticed that when it comes to concrete things it grasps the idea very well, such as telephone pole, but when it comes to dancer it doesn't quite get the concept. Also it will be on it's way to creating something beautiful and then turn it grotesque at the last moment. It's as if it understands the idea of beauty but does not prefer it. And that's literally nine out of ten times. You want Brain Bouquet? No problem. You want Stardust Woman? Get ready for a puked up half digested by an alien woman. It took me twenty tries to get any femininity into moon woman which was a shame because it understood and gave me some beautiful moons I had to discard. Look at mOFC. It looks more like rectal eye exam. But to get something more in line with the concept you would have had to type in brain electricity. The more simple the better it understands.

Be that as it may, it does cough up some things I would like to improve on and I do like so many of these better than museum pieces. No the last word was not head but helm.

See how it had something good going here and then turned the face to meth crone at the last frame?

Synthwave seems to understand feminine better than the others.

I'm hoping this is an evolving project, and that the AI is learning progressively. Some day it may replicate complex ideas perfectly

I also input dirty sexual stuff in there, and it generates a lot of vaguely humanoid bodies & body parts; it still looks lascivious regardless

Sometimes you have to be specific to get a better result but if you add too many specifics you get away from the overall image you were going for. Adding breast helped Star Woman.

Lastly, i just chucked the title of the manga/anime "Mushishi" in, and it basically made something that would fit right in with the series. I'm pretty sure this thing just does a google image search whenever you put in a prompt and then randomly picks some top images.

Trying out some other old cartoon titles. It turns out that "Robotech" gives some pretty good robotic stuff. Combining that with Mushishi seems really good at getting high tech stuff among dense greenery.

Putting in the title of the 1984 mecha anime "Mospeada" and Dark Fantasy seems to give some really good Dante-esque hellscapes. For unknown reason.

Keep them coming. These are all beautiful. All have an abstract dream quality and it's completely unpredictable what the program will do with the suggestions. Some things it seems to grok well but others it leaves out if it wants. I severely underestimated how much this would hook me and have wasted nearly the whole weekend, but I have to see what the next will be... maybe crystal city lasers...

The HD one rarely has a background but it produces some clarity that astounds at times.

It tires so much of my plebian idea of putting women into art that unless I put it twice it ignores me.

Well dang. It no longer downloads the words right. Maybe I should give it a rest. Maybe.

I keep trying to generate Constantine/the Trickster from Thief, but it keeps interpreting Constantine as the guy from the movie. I tried adding 'satyr', but it just generates a vague, distorted shape

Hill of despair laughs at those who climb her tangled hair.

I tell you what, I love what synthwave does with suggestions.

Okay, we get it, Cipheron really likes anime and Tocky really needs a girlfriend.

I wanted to see if I could bludgeon this thing into generating text. Managed to get a surprisingly coherent image on the first try.

I think my wife would have something to say about that. There is no art half as beautiful as a woman. That's just a fact. And when you combine the two you have something. I do sympathize about bludgeoning it into doing something. I tried for a long time to get it to understand a launching rocket has the flames and smoke coming from the rear and not above it or off to the side. I gave up. When I could get it to do that the moon was on the ground or some other crap. You have to know when to let go... and when it's too much.

I found it almost irresistible to enter vaguely controversial political satire into the text box. The art would not reflect that, which is probably as well, you shouldn't encourage bitter cynical arseholiness.

    Pretty, though.
