    you forgot to add dewdrop

and the mystery of the plumsies as they are not healing fruits,i believe they are all eaten in game so nonesie can be gotten

also thief dark project should be at the top with all studio games and thief 2014 should be at the bottom where it shall not be discussed

also what does the barron look like, what is garretts fav year of wine? as in number year 1420???

where have all the burricks gone

alot more if i dive into fan missions

also thank you so much for adding golden child most don't understand how important he is

when i played patriot i was almost 100% sure the final boss would be the golden child, would have been the best ending

what do the gems of sarnoth look like and what happen to them?

This is great! I think there are a few things we could still add... The bow upgrade, Bucket get!, the dancing zombies in Framed, Intermetrics/AverStar, Jorge, the double-Y shrine in Running Interference (before it was changed to a mechanist shrine), the Thief 2 sourcecode, the First City Bank and Trust vault easteregg...

These are borderline since they involve other games, but still closely connected: Salt the fries, Deep Cover.

    Added!

I admit the thinking behind the where on the list to put an entry is somewhat arbitrary, mainly because I can't really think of names for the layers. I'm open to suggestions.

Also tempted to put in joke entries like the usual "Every copy of Thief Gold is personalized" but I decided against it.

Is "DromEd" on there? If not it should be in tier 2 or 3.

It's not a chart of quality but how well know this stuff is. The stuff most people know about is "only the tip of the iceberg".

Jenivere, The Maw and Horn of Quintus should definitely be on there, second tier maybe.

Bugbeasts, Craybeasts, spiders, Talismans, Elemental arrows etc could also possibly be there.

how i would love to play a thief fan mission where SHODAN is the final boss from system shock but we got garretts skills to put that a.i. down once and for all,if i can take out the reborn woodsie lord in rotb part 1 series, still cant figure out how to get code in rotb 2 bonus mission where you have to re do the entire final level while the other garrett from another time is doing it,i don't think i ever heard one person completing that super hard ending,if you don't know what i am talking about please message me and i will explain as i feels its the one secret in a fan mission most have no idea about as the 2 series are probably one of the hardest out there, only for the most elite of thief fan mission players, and you better master gorts style of fan mission before tackling it,i am kinda shocked Christine never attempted a cross over in a thief fan mission with shodan

... What exactly does this have to do with the iceberg?

as one of the most obscure secrets in a fan mission ever, most don't even know about it,i am pretty sure i was first to figure it out/excluding beta tester not sure if they ever figured it out and of course gort who added it of course knows about it

also on another level add how so many thief fan mission authors moved to France=i still trying to unravel the mystery of that

although i should make a board about it also but not sure anyone cares, when it comes down to a massively hard mission series where most will quit before getting there

The primal was used in the Children of Karras
That's actually interesting theory. I always wondering not how Karras children moves but how they know where to moves and how they recognize enemies and allies, decides to attack/flee etc.

Is there actually any solid proof of this theory? According to the wiki, the primal was basically conentrated in glyph magic before it disappeared by activating the final glyph.
After the events of Thief 3 the primal reappeared again, this time in stone form. Because of its corrupting properties and high concentration it corrupted many men influenced too long by its energy, turning them into zombie-like "Freaks".

So how did Karras could had possibly found and used the glyph magic? We know Karras children were steam-driven units, so it is probably plausible to assume a steam engine granted them the ability to move. We further know that in Thief 2 vinyl records were invented by the mechanist, thus granting them the ability to speak.
But we donīt know how the processing of information actually works (and there is also no conclusive theory about the revival of the masked servants from actual corpses).

It'd be pretty cool if someone posted the explanation or the source for some of these, especially the bottom tiers.

"Fan missions you only see in your dreams"?

Well I put it in because despite it's issues (and bad writing) there are interesting things about the game imo, but in terms of the game itself, it's story and it's development. But that is just me.

It was just a suggestion on reddit, wouldn't be an iceberg without a few abstract/silly entries deep down! Also mousing over entries will often show a description I put in, some also are hyperlinks

EDIT: You can do it on the Iceberg's page https://icebergcharts.com/i/Thief

Also also I put at the bottom Constantine's Sword, a mobile game I actually never knew about until very recently!

    Some propositions:

Quote Scrolls - hidden in both games conversation of LGS staff.

KOMAG CDs - old way of distribution of FMs when there was no download websites.

Angelwatch Roof in Thief 2 Demo - using a crate it can be visited. Funny easter egg.

Improved Broadhead Arrow - found in Ambush, it bounce out of walls.

Dewdrop's Hidden Power - if it wasn't for wiki confirming it's existence, I would thought it's just downwinder's imagination.

Bafford's Manor secret conversation - I watched video about it long time ago. Basically if you put sound files from Thief 2 into Thief 1, then first conversation about Bear Pits change. New conversation has South Park reference. Searching for it right now I couldn't find any information nor video about in in the internet. And switching manually snd.crf files didn't work. So I don't know if it was just custom made conversation.

I don't really get that point. Thief 4 is original name of game. And I prefer this name over some stupid shenanigans with numbering of games. Plus calling it Thief Reboot can make assumption that it is connected to Thief 1, which may make bad impression of this old game. As for argument that it's not a sequel, but reboot, I find it stupid. Each of Final Fantasy games are reboot of each other, but still they got new numbers. Lufia 2 is actually prequel to Lufia 1. So sequel in games is whatever author of game wants it to be.
