Check out this new AI speech app (for FMs)

Check out the ai-generated voice app at elevenlabs. You need to give it a sample of the voice you want to mimic, and the results are extremely impressive. Look up results on YouTube, they're incredible.

You can basically add a whole new layer of voices to your mission - new NPC dialogue, new comments from Garret, new guard speech... the only true limit to quality is the creativity of the writing! I hope FM authors will use this tool effectively.

This is amazing! Check out this audio

You could probably redo all the Nuthief Garrett with SR's voice and better lines

EDIT: This is insane, I'm beside myself.

PS: the sample I used was Garrett's recital of the Wall builder prayer, the longest audio

That's shockingly good. Since Garrett's lines are usually delivered pretty straight, this would work really well for FMs.

Almost makes Garrett sound like Duke Nukem.

There's a bit of a Nukemesque quality to some of those, but overall it's still a pretty good likeness. Can you adjust the intonation at all? I'm thinking of the line from the first level in Deadly Shadows: "Lord Julian?"

Yeah they have options to tweak stability and clarity percentage, it's very useful

Holy cow! SlyFoxx might be out of a job!

Oooo..someone's gotta do Benny now!! I'm thinking that's going to be quite comical.

Oh, and good find, LZ18. Hopefully it won't go "commercial" or be taken down, etc.

I tried just now, but might have to add more voice samples. Sounds a bit unpolished

Needs to be roughened up a bit, but yeah, I can really see the potential. Regardless, they're very natural sounding except in very minor places. But wow, just incredible.

I compiled all of Garrett's voice lines from the games (barring the mission intro VO's given they use music) into a 30 minute sequence and used that for the AI to reference. Did a quick mission intro and some random voice lines, and I'm pretty impressed with how well the AI managed to emulate Stephen Russell's voice and inflections. Gonna be great to see this tech put in use for FM's.

I tried, but didn't get proper results. Most Karras voice files sound rusty (they're either from the victrola, or the intercom). I used the ones from his convo with the sheriff, but still came out sounding weird. There's something about his inflection that the AI can't replicate
