Your favourite mission of the year 2006 - Part 1

Vote for your favourite Thief 2 fanmission of the year 2006!

"Others" includes the following missions: About Rats, Spiders and an Escape, Chasse a L'Homme: 15 Days (Part 2), Choose Your Own Adventure, Dangerous Conditions, Easy Bank, Lord Hammerarse's Manor, Lost Souls

General rules for the T2 polls: Demos, very short missions, foreign languages and OM remakes are only included if the space allows it. Same goes for missions that already appeared in one of the T1/TG polls. Big missions with 5 or more missions to play are excluded. There will be a separate poll for them.

Important note: Since there is quite a number of T2 fanmissions released in the year 2006, I cut the poll in 3. The second poll will be released when this one is closed. The third after that.

Sh*eeeeeeeeet. I believe 2006-2009 was the golden era of FMs? I have not voted in any of these polls so far but 2006 has one special mission my vote will go for, its name consists of two words and starts with A

There are some seriously good missions in this poll, and for once a poll without including an obvious big name mission.

But I have to vote for Folly of Youth, just superb on every level, and Sisterhood of Azura: Part 2 (The House) one of my favourite mansion missions, with From Beneath the Sands, Under Templehill and Assault on the Gas Station all coming in equal third place.

I just love how two missions from nicked battle each other my vote goes to beneath the sands btw. Even though it´s an undead mission, it was so greatly and interesting done, gotta love it

I am almost finishing up all FMs from Authors that started in 2001, sadly that means i havent played most of of the folks that did FMs in 2006. The only exception is the Haddur series, which i played before i started to chronologically play the FMs from 1999 onwards.

So my vote goes first to "Sepulchre of the Sinistral" (whenever it shows up in the 2006 poll), by Doaal, i played all his missions once i hit his "The Mystery Man" from 2001 in the FM chronology. Out of the 2 FMs i played chronologically thus far (the other being Pedro Quintela's take on the infamous Retrieval mission) his is the obvious pick. Its a nice tomb raiding mission, starts out uncerimoniously with a abandoned cathedral, but the FM is so much more, lots of deadly traps, undead and puzzles. It also heavily invokes the same labyrinthian architecture as the original Bonehoard. Gave me a bit of frustration on one specific area (but thats my fault, as i like to anihilate all the undead), but it had overall a indiana jones feel to it all.

As mentioned, i also voted on Dreams of Tyrus, mostly because the entire Haddur series feels like one man's efforts to try REALLY hard to tell a store, but failing spetacularly on the execution, but you can see Turi Robert really put soul into it and that, to me, accounts for something!

I would have voted for Mystic Gems also, but it is the only one out of the whole list that I have played, so I opted out of voting entirely.

You definitely need to check out the other missions, Klatremus. All the winners are real jewels
Also imo portisco head and bad blood are definitely worth playing
