You are getting killed by the gaze of the statues. Turn them so that they're no longer facing your way. First one is easy, but in order to do same with the second one, you have to find a button behind the pillar. You'll get an idea of what to do next. Upon getting the statue problem out of your way, you'll be able to reach throne-end of the room and open a chest - the lever you're searching for is contained in there
Mikko, I never found that button. since you really dont need the lever in the beginning as there is another way to come through the door from the opposite side, I used the fire talisman later to shoot fire at the statue and this ended up spinning the statue in such a way that I was able to safely cross and get the lever. By that time the door was already open as I opened it from the other side

... and I thought the Fire Talisman was just a harmless bookend on a shelf.

Clearly I haven't explored hard enough.

  3. #78
Well, that one you saw IS harmless.

I haven't been here for a long time, but I couldn't pass by. This brushing is fantastic, lots of difficult design decisions. Great use of fog. I'm sure the gameplay is also good, I'll look for some free time to explore it

    RippedPhreak, you're really cool

I never found that button ... or a useful fire talisman .. but I managed to jump from the far left pedestal to the altar area without the statue seeing me - didn't really feel that was really what the author intended!

Brillliant mission RippedPhreak - enjoyed several hours completing it and determined to do it without reference to the thread. Still 2,700 loot to find

Where did you get the fire and water talismans?

I see the fire talisman in a bookshelf in the same room where the staff is displayed, top floor of the big mage building. But it doesnīt see frobable.

I donīt have any clue where the water talisman is.

    Thank you, found them.

For anyone else who need a spoiler for the fire talisman:

If you go from the mages castle (furthest building) back into the caverns, go right. You will pass two lava rooms before the cave has an opening at the cliff where you can enter the castle via the balcony. In said first lava room, there is a place to mantle onto the right. Look up.

    Water talisman spolier:

In the same cave, search the pond with the waterfall closely. A classic video game secret.

is there a earth and air talisman, also i only found one area to use the keystones at the keeper castle to get that tiara on table, where else is there to use it?

  13. #88
    No. And just experiment.

Part of the reason for the stones is just because of the mission's size, for example if you realized you need something that is far away, you could drop a stone, run to the item, then blink back quickly. I can only think of three places where the stones are truly necessary to find loot, but I figured people will get creative with them.

You could get past the killer statues for example.

There is another place in the keeper castle and you will need to use them to return after using a one way movement to reach some loot elsewhere.

What a masterpiece! I need a clue for the "name code" that I assume it will be used in the library to open the panel with the lock.

Useful for getting one of the powerstones as well, otherwise you need to find a big boulder.

I already did this, but the name had an "z" in it that I could not find in the first floor of the library.
