I'm missing the emerald stone but found the other two. I can't tell if I've already gone past it or there's another place I haven't been. Hint please!

i also wanted to say the air quality in mission was amazing, so crisp outside and fresh, skybox was refreshing also
If you haven't found the Keeper place, go back to the giant lava cave with two fire elementals floating around. This cave has the broken rock bridges similar to the mines in Fellowship of the Ring. From that cave, find a way to climb and go north.
I'm not excited about doing that but I'll check it out.

How do you use them now?
Lordhern was referring to Keeper Runestones which are a different thing. If you have the green, purple and yellow Powerstones, then they can be used to activate a portal to take you "to where you most want to go" which will be Garrett's home in this case.
If you missed some readables: The Mages recently dug up a chamber with a Precursor Portal below their fortress, and the Powerstones can be used to activate it.
Thanks, I was confusing the two stones and I did read that readable but forgot about it. I also completely forgot to go back to that area.
I found the Rune stones finally as well.

I still can't find the water elemental. I've been through every inch of the pond with the waterfall and can't locate it. That's where I assumed it would be based on some of the responses in the thread.
Also you don't need the water talisman to finish the mission, it's just a neat toy to put out torches or blast enemies or whatever. It can sometimes break vases which can cost you loot so be careful.
Yeah, I know. I've finished the mission but am just exploring and getting all the loot and objects. I've also found that you can pretty much ghost this mission and use very little of the normal inventory even without any special items. And the buttons and switches are really small.
Fantastic mission!! Took me right back to days of the original Metal Age for atmosphere and pure quality. 10/10 matey taffer boy!
I'm at the four statues at the ruins of Yestron and I also have the scroll with the poem about the King, the Mage, and Queen, and the Knight. I assume I'm supposed to turn the statues so that they face towards one of the other statues as described in the poem, but nothing happens when I try that. Am I missing something here?
Great mission, by the way!
You have to be somewhat precise with how they are facing, so fiddle with them a bit. And don't stand on the sarcophagus lid while you're doing it, that can cause a problem.
A masterful delight, thanks Pete!
I´m replaying this amazing mission and this time go for all the loot. Apparently there´s a wall safe in the upper level of the main library in the mages building. Is it hidden? If yes, where is the switch for it?

No one? Pity, Ill have to skip the full loot then![]()
Well, I guess we can't let this happen, huh?
There is a hidden safe in the main libraray, located at the southern end of the lower level. To open it, a puzzle needs to be solved. Did you notice some wall panels with letters on them in the library? If so, then you need a word. A name, to be exact. Wasn't there a mage whose name had changed?
Not far from the library, you should find (or already have found) a mage's apartment. I think there is a readable there that hints at the mage's name change. But there is also something that tells you the mage's former name in these rooms. It is a plaque near a mage's staff on display at one of the walls. The plaque contains the former name of the mage. That name changes when you restart the mission (but not when you just reload saved games), thus a name from a former playthrough or even from someone else in the internet may be the wrong one. Read it from the plaque again if the apparently correct name does not work.
Once you use your newfound knowledge by pressing the wall panels with the letters the mage's name consists of, the safe is revealed. Of course, you'll then see a new obstacle in your path to unlimited riches: An elemental lock that needs a key before the safe opens. This is the mage's way of waving his middle finger at you.
To finally open the safe, get a key that fits it. I think the key is labelled "Earth key", and I think it might have been in the possession of the mage, at least before I met him with the blackjack ready.I don't know at the moment, so if you are stuck here later on, tell me, and I'll see whether one of the many screenshots I made during the mission solves that mystery.
It's "Archmage's Key."
