An earlier leak/rumour has said that this remasters uses Unreal Engine sitting atop Gamebryo.

Oof, really kills the vibe, doesn't it? And without the vibe, there's really nothing to that game...
I'm sure someone will release an "eye watering amount of bloom" mod to make it look more like the original.
There were parts of Oblivion that were gorgeous, actually, but all the stuff in the center of the map never did much for me. The swamps in the southeast were awesome though, IIRC.
