    Help with Noirequier please.

I've killed the monster (what is that?) and I can't figure out what to do next

That's my last objective, everything else is done

need a hint... I found a wall with
    spoiler:
an inscription telling the story of some hammerite priests that were supposed to watch over the necropolis but eventually failed for various reasons... I recognize their names from the tombs scattered across the map. is there something to do here? I couldn't find any special items or secret switches...

I believe the necklace is on a statue in the room before you get to the lower crypt where the monster is, also where you exit that lower crypt.

The sapphire necklace in Noirequier is around the neck of a statue in the dark. Unfortunately this wasn't intended, a 'fix' done very late had a knock-on effect with the lighting that we completely missed. The statue and necklace should be much more visible than they are.

mission 4 complete on expert, that level took a toll on me, mission 5 tomorrow

so far i noticed each level is a different theme level 1 city, level 2 double mansion, level 3 monastery complex, level 4 tomb/crypts/etc very deep, will see if that continues, very nice touch

also there is a door in city part i was never able to find key for and i looked for way in around building no luck

the one dead burrick brought a tear to my eye

I started playing on easy and finished the mission without finding this monster you mentioned about. Is this availiable only on expert? And where exactly it's located?

Depending on the difficulty you choose, this map has various changes. Which enemies are in Noirequier is one of them.

However, the entire map is available to explore no matter what difficulty is chosen, and this rule applies to the whole campaign.

I finished the mission on expert, but with a loose end: I picked up a floating sword blade in one of the lower tombs near a message about a sword that could kill the undead. But the blade doesn't seem to do anything on its own. Are there items I missed in the other tombs named in the message that would let me use it, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

the burrick isn't dead - it's sleeping - go wake it up and play with it for it a bit....

Oh man this place is HUGE!

Any way to kill the snake/lizard thingies? EDIT:
Got it, broadheads, but you need to aim really well

Breathing Corpses set a very high bar for Bonehoard FM's, but looks like this one might equal, or even surpass it

Finished with 2145 out of 2800ish loot. Missing quite a few places in the catacomb area Been to the underground gambling area.. Also, found the same place RedNoodles mentioned in post 3. Is there something behind the plaque? I can hit it with a clang.

Right at the start, there is a NPC standing high above the underpass leading to the city area. There is a climbable roping hanging down from a scaffold. When you grab the rope, the hook breaks off. Is there any way to get up there? I tried everything, from climbing the scaffold to piling up boxes... nothing works.

@chk772: I got up there by stacking boxes, but I don't think we are supposed to be able to reach this area. I didn't find any items or loot and the usual sound effects are missing.

    Thanks!

I also wondered if there's anything at all up there... I saw that the NPC stares at some hole in the wall, where some pipes or something seem to be visible. Maybe the local tinsmith doing some maintenance work.

Fantastic mission, I knew there'd be a great Bonehoard tribute in here somewhere and I wasn't disappointed.
2407 of 2891, honestly felt like I missed a lot more than that on expert. I see talk of a floating sword that I never ended up finding, despite doing another lap of the area after making it back to the candle shop, where was it?
Also, was the gambling den at the end of the mission intentionally heavily reminiscent of the one from Dirty Money? Having played Dirty Money only a few weeks before this, I genuinely thought I was in the same area for a long while.

So far this is my favorite mission from the campaign. It tricks you into thinking it's a Bonehoard knock-off, but there are much worse things lurking in the dark than your average zombies and burricks and the layout is much more complex. Downwinder mentioned in a previous comment that the mission took a toll on him/her. I completely agree, I genuinely feel tired after playing it to the end. It demands a lot of concentration not to get lost. The map is sketchy but what it shows is quite an accurate representation of the area. I also liked that you enter the Dreckboun gambling pit towards the end. It's a nice touch and an homage to the original Thief Gold that the story gets interwoven here and there with the original storyline.

My sincere congratulations for everyone who worked on this mission. It's a true masterpiece!

Lightningline: The exit from that area, obviously. Check around the dark areas, you will find it eventually, no hidden switch hunt is required as far as I remember. The exit leads you back to the skeleton on horseback

There's 2 exits going up from that area to the skeleton entrance szabikka mentioned. One leads toa secret door that will open into the entrance

Took me a bit to figure out, but for those wondering here's how to open the plaque door. Apologies in advance for this CIA document looking post:

Grimworth: shoot his sarcophagus with a holy water arrow - a hilt will appear near the exit of the Grimworth tomb

Noirequier: retrieve the ancient hammer from one of the sarcophagi near the fire pit below his tomb - place it on the pedestal next to a statue of the Builder near the Noirequier tomb entrance and a pommel will appear

Belor: Find a piece of food (I used a loaf of bread I found somewhere along the way but I suspect any food item will do) and drop it on a pedestal next to a Builder statue in the small chapel-ish area south of the Belor vault. A jewel will appear.

Albrecht: Go to the upper NE area of the lower tombs, above the entrance to the Albrecht tomb. there's a small altar with a hammer icon and a Builder statue next to it. If you kneel down (ie. crouch) in front of the hammer icon and wait for a bit, a blade will appear. Quite liked this one, reminded me of a puzzle in Keyhunt.

Take all of these back to the plaque which has opened to reveal a new room, stick the sword pieces into the corresponding slots and enjoy your brand new undead slaying weapon.

I was actually hoping that the 300-ish loot I'm still missing was behind it, but I'll gladly take it.

Dang it. I had a feeling the plaque wasn't just for show.

    Edit:

Replaying the level, the place for Albrecht Above his tomb entrance is a triangular shaped, barred off walkway with a green wisp in the middle. Next to it is the statue, and the hammer icon under a large skull.

Kneel by the hammer. It will slowly glow brighter.

    Edit2:
And you keep it for the rest of the game!!!
