So I got the fire area done but the next area has a broken walkway and i see no way to get up there. Also as someone mentioned there's an area with a grate and you can see the lever for it just out of reach. Don't know how to open that either.
Nevermind i figured it out.

i knew we'd be seeing nicked's statues in some form or another. yeah this was a hard loot goal. to many scary things to run away from
How do I get to the Air temple? I've been running in circles in the water temple for about an hour now.
I've finally found it. The way to the air temple is right where you get the water piece of the large round key, you just have to look to your right
I'm on my way out at the entrance to the whole complex. However I haven't been able to find out where to use the ancient library key, and where to get the lever for the lever box behind the portcullis. Can anyone help out a fellow taffer?

Well, the ancient library key opens the large double doors which lead to the very big spider's lair. I wasn't able to get forward with the lever box behind the portcullis. I even tried to carry down the lever handle that keeps the hanged man on the wall in the highwaymen camp, but it didn't work. I'm completely baffled about it's location.
I thought I was pretty thorough with this one since I found significantly more loot on my second run, yet I'm still a whopping 800 short of the loot total this time around! Guess I'm going back down...
As for the lever/lever box: Find the corridor at the very top of the Pillars of Silence, there's two doorways to the south, the one at the end leads to the bridge across the big octagonal entry room. Go through the other south doorway halfway down the corridor and go down, down, down
Additional hint: Don't forget to look up!
I spent almost four in-game hours on this level. It has a beautiful design and some very interesting enemies. My favourite was the statues riding on the back of a stone spider. It looked funny at first but the sounds it made sent chills down my spine. The rotating key and the way it lights up the gems in the walkway was cool, probably the best special effect in the mission. The morning in the forest as you come back out of the tomb is also a very nice touch, but I was ready for anything. Fortunately, I could return to the campsite in peace.
Congrats to the authors, the vastness and the details of this level are just mind-boggling, this single mission could have taken years to complete.
Probably my favorite mission in the campaign so far, the otherworldy sections were absolutely fantastic.
I managed to find a couple things that completely stumped me throughout the mission and some of them I have honestly no idea if they're red herrings or not.
The first was a hidden doorway underneath the entry stairs to the Pillars of Silence, I ran laps around the area trying to find access to it, but never did. Maybe I can get to there through the Spider Library? Thats one of the few things I've yet to try.
Second was the second doorway above the earth temple key door, I thought maybe I'd loop back to it but I never did, and I was also wondering what keeping the pedestal the key was found on pressed down actually did.
Third wassome glowing eyes behind bars on the way out after getting the earth temple key fragment, this one might just be for decoration, but my Thief sense was telling me I could get over there somehow.]
In any case this mission was a blast, returning to the forest to find that its now daylight outside was a special moment.

Because people who haven't finished the mission could be reading this thread looking for tips, I think you guys should put spoiler tags around your comments regarding the last part of the mission.
That's a special, memorable moment and I think it works best as a surprise.
Not sure if this is part of some obscure secret or just a bit of jank:
The hanging highwayman corpse is suspended from an item that, when held, is labeled as a switch handle. This resulted in my carrying it all the way down to the place where the actual switch handle is used; to my confusion.
Is holy water actually effective on anything on this mission? I loaded up on the stuff expecting a plethora of undead and don't recall holy water ever being useful.
I just restringed the harp, and got across the chasm.
I'm absolutely speechless with this level![]()

I finished all my objectives. How do I get back up from this room?
Can't find any levers, and nothing at the bottom of the pool
You cannot go back up there, but have to find another way back. On easiest difficulty level, I found it near the bridge crossing the abyss just before the door that opens only with Teidir's signet ring. Somewhere behind the door, and near the area with the strange monster looking like a stone man sitting on a stone spider, I found a way up that I had overlooked. Once you come back to the plaque reading "THE PILLARS OF SILENCE", you're back in the area before the "dolphin pool" where one can't get back up.
Found it, thanks!
This mission felt like 3 in 1. A lot to explore. But I felt a little dissapointed with the lack of enemies. There barely were any and those who were there, were easy to kill with the holy sword.
So for all who tried to get out of the mission after meeting the spiders I would recommend to come back. There are not many enemies, don't worry. You miss a lot if you just run through it. This was my favourite mission so far. Except for the spiders comming from above. Could have lived without them.![]()
How do you leave the area with the spiders where you get the musical instrument? I'm going in circles and I can't seem to find an exit. You can't go back from where you came because you can't swim upward.
The exit opens right besides where you get the silk strings. There's an audio and a visual cue but multiple people have missed this, it might need improvement.
Yeah I've found it, dunno how I missed it in retrospect. I guess the samey colors of the textures makes them blend with the rest of the room and you can skip over it if you are not paying attention.
When I finishing The Black Parade for the first time I was surprised to find out that 'Jaws of Darkness' was my favorite mission of the campaign. I didn't think it would be, with so many missions I enjoyed.
(this is my first post on 'ttlg forums', I have been reading it for years, but for some reason never created a user account until now.)
