    New T2FM - Raising Corpses [22.04.2024]

    This is my fourth FM for Thief - Raising Corpses.

    This mission is part of my campaign Dark Age Memories - Life of a Thief. The action takes place way before the events in A Tough Night and Into the Dark Forest and after A Visit To The Baron. You don't need to play those missions before this to understand what is happening. Just read Garrett's Journal in your inventory at start. It contains all the story lines and all you need to know in order to play this mission.

    Important: This mission is for Thief2 The Metal Age. T2Fix_1.27d or newer is required. This mission was built in New Dark 1.27 version.

    DESCRIPTION: This is a large mission who requires between 2 and 3 hours of play. Do not expect to finish it quick. The action takes place in a hammerite facility and in an underground town/necropolis haunted by zombies.

    For the players who start the mission from now on: please add this line in the fm.cfg file: force_correct_rope_lengths 1. It will fix the bug with the rope arrows being too short when shut in the beam near the Chalice of Saint Graimal for some players. Until I release the version 1.1. it's needed to add this line manually.

    Version 1.1. released: added the line: force_correct_rope_lengths 1 in fm.cfg and lowered the wood beam near the Chalice of Saint Graimal to fix the bug with the rope arrows being too short for some players.

    Version 1.2. released: added the file myconvict.osm to the mission folder, loaded the file myconvict.osm to the mission file to fix(hopefully) the bug with the chalice objective not checking for some players.

    I just downloaded it, though there was a small network glitch (I just clicked "resume" on the browser downloads page and it finished).

    any time there is a long-lost anything that still seems to be thriving like this one, I have to wonder: how? supposedly no one knows where thy are, but there's a novice writing home to his mother... they can't be that lost, now can they?

    mission complete on expert 19/38 secrets,,,6078/8182 loot,,,7/7 pockets picked, 1 hour 51 min to complete

    i enjoyed this mission, lots to explore, a lot is just for loot/secrets

    hardest part was leaving :P

    the lower factory levels are giving me flashes of Soulforge, but Soulforge didn't have AI images in frames throughout.
    there is a particularly bad one near High Priest Coltus of a woman whose arms and/or head are facing the wrong way (I can't tell which way the body is pointing).
    there's also some text that feels AI-generated, or at least very awkward - the uranium notes change from past to present tense and back a couple times.

    trying to complete final objective was hard in the sense of remembering how to leave, lol at pic yes those art pieces are amazing, i loved the fat tree and others

    one section had the thief gold see through curtains, optional area to explore, also i wish the last part was way harder getting the amazing looking chalice wow very nice looking piece

    was there a smarter way to get out of the deepest chalice area than stacking the rocks?
    I had initially not brought all three down, but managed to use my own weight to trigger the door; I'm glad I had a save from before descending, because I couldn't reach the rope from only two stacked rocks

    I wondered the same thing. I initially went down to the level where the chalice is without any boulders, and that appears to make the level unfinishable. There's no way to really know you're going to need them until you get down there. I eventually reloaded from an earlier point and brought 2 boulders with me plus the one that's there, and stacked them to get out. But I'm guessing that's not the intended way to leave.

    Can a get a clue where the Research Notes are? They are the only thing I am missing and since the level is so huge, I can't locate them , what level or area... Thanks

    i can help vincent there was in one of the factory levels opposite side of the other notes i think you get them up a ladder in one of the rooms in one of the bays

    OK for some reason I can't exit the mission. I grabbed... the Chalice but the objective didn't tick off, went all the way back to the cemetery gate, but I'm now standing here with the Chalice in inventory (all the other objectives ticked off except the Chalice one) and can't exit. Am I supposed to destroy these objects in the forge or something?

    That never happened until now.. It is a bug who never occured in the testing .. Sorry for that, i have to inverstigate the problem.

    Unfortunately couldn't finish, as I got stuck down near the chalice.
    Maybe I'll play again in a few months.
