Thief Gold Randomly will not play audio

Alrighty, so I'm trying to make a video for the Thief game series, and when I launched TG to get some footage, the game had no audio, except for the movies. I have been using the same Bluetooth headphones I was when I played the game last (a month-ish ago). I started a new game, nothing. Verified files, nothing. Reinstalled, nothing. Restarted Bluetooth, nothing. The strange thing is Thief 2 works, but not thief gold, help would be very appreciated! (Running windows 10 on steam)

verified files would suggest you are using the default steam build. I'm surprised it even launches - patch up, and problem solved, most likely.

Well, I already had Tfix 1.27 and the HD mod, i removed the HD mod because I thought it was that and it was slow, but I reinstalled tfix and it still wouldn't work

do you have the game folder under program files? if you do, then try to move the install someplace else (C:\Games\ is a nice, issue free location). a TFixed install is portable, so you can just drag and drop it wherever.

if not, try to create a new, fresh install, make sure to delete/move away the old one so you would be starting from a clean slate, patch up using the very latest TFix and see whether that helps. if not, try changing the audio driver under options/audio/hw acceleration.

also verifying steam cache will obviously break a TFixed install.
