PHREAK - Please answer the question - Why are you supporting a rapist and criminal for President?

Easy-peasy. You must have solid reasons. Share them.

This is a category error and a cop out.

Trump did Jan 6. That is stand-alone, criminal, treasonous bullshit where people died. He tried to end American democracy.

You cannot compare the two and hope to be taken seriously.

No one really believes Trump raped anyone. A biased New York jury was given a chance to attack and embarrass someone they hated.

He is on public record, bragging about sexually assaulting women and girls (i.e. children). He publicly perves-out on his own daughter. He took his children to Epsteine parties.

Nothing creepy about that, right, sport?

All these silly distractions are trying to mask that the Democrats have a real problem here: That they ruined the economy. It goes something like this:

Voters: "What are you going to do to make my groceries affordable again?"

Dems: "Did you know Trump took some documents with him when he left the White House?"

Voters: "OK...but what are you going to do to make my groceries affordable? Please be specific."

Dems: "Trump wasn't very good about wearing a mask in 2020, thus he personally killed a million people with Covid!"

Voters: "You're not hearing me pal. What are YOU going to do to make my groceries affordable again?"

Dems: "But did you know Trump used to go some public events where Epstein was present, thus he must be destroyed...even though we don't care who else might have hung out with Epstein and we aren't going to go after them?"

Voters: "How is talking about THIS, helping me with my FUCKING. GROCERY. BILL?"

Dems: "No, you gotta listen bro, Trump over-valued his mansion for tax purposes!"

    Voters: "YOU STUPID FUCKS!"

Dems: "Incomprehensible noises due to being choked"

Someone: Oh damn, we voted this guy again, I told you little miss Kamala was better.
Someone Else: No way man I like rich spoiled brats who can't be coherent for 30 minutes.

Is getting mighty repetitive who is Trump and why he is bad for your health, but anyway if you don't like dramas you might have to play chess then.

We don't need to be told (again) that Covid is a lab product, we know.
(yeah I guess I also speak of my persona in plural, hey I always discuss with myself since I was a little boy)

I think "someone" reads too much in between lines or tabloids perhaps.

Why shouldn't I believe it? It's not out of character for him and it's in keeping with his history. Also, New York City is Trump's home town and his primary residence until 2019. And over 3 million New Yorkers voted for Trump. So why do you assume he had an unfair jury?

Somehow tRump's "best people" lawyers were unable to find a single, honest juror among the hundreds to choose from. And some how the same lawyers were unable to cobble together a single piece of exculpatory evidence or mitigating testimony. And some how, despite being utter innocent of all accusations, tRump managed to lose the same defamation case TWICE.

So why do you assume he had an unfair jury?
Because Phreak can't handle the truth. His best response, his only response, is to triple and quadruple down on straw-manning.

What do you think would be exculpatory evidence from 1995 (or maybe 1996, she can't remember what year it was)? Are Trump's lawyers supposed to find the department store workers from 28 years ago and ask them if they saw or heard anything? The whole idea is laughable.

In the State of New York by the way, the laws provide a 20-year statue of limitations. Thus since this alleged crime occurred 28 years ago they had to make up a special exception to the law just to get something on Trump:

For adult survivors of sexual assault, the statute of limitations in New York is generally three years. This applies to cases that occurred before 2019. However, the Adult Survivor Act (ASA) provides an extended statute of limitations of 20 years if the abuse occurred after 2019.

Doesn't seem strange to you that they still cannot accuse him of something serious and jail him? Perhaps is because he is being persecuted politically, oops, sorry I meant GO Kamala!!!
And why a Canadian is so obsessed with this red T-Rex anyway.

tRump has a life time of experience dodging responsibility. They have convicted him of 34 felonies already. He has a history of fraud (stealing from sick and dying children, for example).

He is surrounded by convicted criminals, many who served in his election campaign or as business associates and employees.

He is being tried for many other, even more serious crimes and.

He is not being politically persecuted, he is a serial thief and a rapist. That's not spin it is fact.

And why a Canadian is so obsessed with this red T-Rex anyway.
Because he is a pox on the planet. He is a threat to civilization and human decency. He made fascism fashionable again. He gave permission for every vile, regressive, racist, misogynist and knuckle-dragging idiot to goose-step out from under their rotting log, fire up a tiki-torch, unfurl their Nazi flag and party like it's 19-fucking-39.

And you apparently love him for this.

Why are you obsessed with him?

Bullshit. He immediately started whining about how unfair everybody was on him, got defensive and doubled down on the racism. If anything, it is perfectly fair to ask him why black people should ever trust him in the light of who he is, because questions were literally factual things that he has done and said. The truth is he cannot defend his own words and statements. He's the one who was originally peddling the completely baseless racist "Obama isn't from here" conspiracy theory, has told people of colour born in the US to "go back where they came from", said that most of Mexicans in the US were criminals and rapists, had a history of racist policies as a slumlord, insisted that the Central Park Five should be executed after they turned out to be innocent... I could go on for pages.

    Aged like fine milk...

    https://www.axios.com/2024/08/02/tru...ck-journalists

Moments before former President Trump took the stage at the National Association of Black Journalists annual convention in Chicago on Wednesday, the organization's president was called back to address an issue.

Trump did not want to be fact-checked live and was refusing to go on stage, NABJ president Ken Lemon told Axios.

"[Trump's team] said, 'Well, can you not fact check? He's not going to take the stage if you fact-check,'" Lemon said.

The Q&A with the GOP presidential nominee was delayed more than an hour before he eventually joined a panel of Black journalists, including ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott, Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner and Semafor reporter Kadia Goba.

At the time, President Trump blamed the delay on audio problems.

Lemon told Axios, "There were audio problems, but they were resolved very quickly."

"The bigger problem was his threat not to take the stage when he had agreed to go on. He did not want to be fact-checked, but we could not let him on the stage without fact-checking," Lemon said.

The stalemate was so prolonged that NABJ leaders were prepared to explain to the audience of nearly 2,000 people why Trump would not appear.

"I was prepared to go on stage to craft a statement, saying he decided not to go on stage because of fact-checking... we couldn't compromise on that.

As Lemon was preparing that statement, Trump walked onto the stage.

I find it both funny and scary that right wing nutter super christians claim they will vote Trump, even though he's pretty much broken every commandment there is (disclaimer: I can not prove the Thou Shalt Not Kill thingy). The scary bit is that a media persona that goes directly opposite everything you believe can still trick you into voting for them. You'd think, by now, enough people would have figured out "everybody but him" would be the best plan, but apparently not.

  19. #44
Evangelical Christians don't vote. They tend to just placidly accept whatever happens in this life, under the assumption that heaven awaits when they die.

Which is why Trump was telling them, "Come on, just go vote this one time and you won't have to vote anymore."

Oh that wasn't it. You know why it was. He wants to end voting. He may or may not achieve it but that he wants it is enough to hate him for. Nobody is king in this country and we should keep it that way.

I hate to do this, because this is usually how every internet conversation ends, but... Hitler was elected, with the promise that he'd end democracy. Which he did. I'm not saying Trump is Hitler. But there are a few scary bits there.

Paranoid conspiracy theory, Alex. Christians tend to think "whatever happens, it's God's will," therefore they don't bother voting. Trump was telling them to get off their asses and get involved for once in their friggin lives.

That's Calvinism (with predestination). Other denominations are more proactive (catholics).
In fact it's the opposite, whatever happens in this world it's Satan (well, if you identify "Rex Mundi" gnostic title with Satan, Christianism has the tendendy to meld all these old jew and greek entities into Satan, being SatanEL the angel with the duty to try you worthy of God) trying to subvert God's plans.
