I might have thought so at one time but I've come to understand after the way he attempted a coup the last election that he means what he says no matter how crazy.

And no, Christians vote diligently and for Trump. They feel they are in a holy war and Trump is their savior. Trump. A man who has no morals and raw dogs porn stars while his wife is home taking care of his newborn son. Christians can ignore anything as long as they can feel persecuted while they persecute.

Nah from what I've seen Christians are sitting this election out. Trump stated he would NOT push for a nationwide 100% abortion ban which has pissed them off. Now they feel he is "not holy enough" for them to dirty their hands and vote for him.

So they could install tRump as King and be serfs forever more, not only in the afterlife but in this one as well.

    Get yourself some knee-pads, RF.

    Quack quack.

ANYWAY: The grotesque orange singularity is dragging this thread into his event horizon again. RESIST.

They can stop claiming that she's not black and not her party's official candidate now.

In all honesty, Stormy Daniels is the best thing he ever did.

Tim Walz? Do any Dems actually want to win this race?

Stand this image against Vance and come on, now.
He's the picture of America's wholesome & lovable dad.

Walz is completely unknown outside of Minnesota. Minnesota hasn't voted Republican for President since 1972 and Harris is currently +10 there. So he fails on the first and most important job of any Vice President, which is to bring electoral college votes. He's not well connected and not a notable fundraiser, he doesn't bring any unique political or policy experience to the ticket, he doesn't have the personality to be an attack dog, and he doesn't appeal to young voters either. Another Walter Mondale basically.

Or he's a Jimmy Carter after the turmoil of LBJ and Nixon. All things in their context.
Also she's the former prosecutor & is being social media savvy; she's the attack dog & hip with the kids.
So presumably you'd want the opposite demographic to complement her, I think is part of the thinking.
I don't want to say too much until things have shaken out over the next few weeks though.
Who can predict anything in this cycle anymore?

Gov. Shapiro from Pennsylvania would have been a smart choice, but the septic stench of antisemitism is so strong around the Democrats now, it wasn't possible. Didn't want to offend their pro-Hamas base I suppose.

That's quite the take when the Democratic candidate's husband is Jewish. If that really was their concern then they've not demonstrated it so far.

Dem voters don't know or care about Emhoff, he's stayed pretty invisible. But if they started seeing campaign signs with "Harris/Shapiro" written out, they couldn't hide it anymore.

Shapiro could have helped win Pennsylvania, but at the expense of Michigan because of his early career lobbying for Israel. Elsewhere, he was unknown and vulnerable to being defined negatively by the other side. And he's a northeast liberal. Out of the front runners she was considering, only Mark Kelly seemed to be a solid net positive. If not Kelly, I thought she might pick a southern Democrat to help her in Georgia and North Carolina.

I thought it would be Andy Beshear for sure, but a big factor of it is probably also how compatible the VP is with the candidate, as they have to spend quite a lot of time together. Also, apparently he's good on TV, not that I've ever seen him.

He sat around jerking off while antifa smashed and burned Minneapolis and now blames it all on Trump. What a guy.

He argues dishonestly and misrepresents the arguments of others. He learned how to argue from Jordan Peterson.

It's not even worth the time to fact check him.

I was hoping for Mark Kelly, but Walz is a good choice. I think Shapiro will be president some day, but we need him to put another 6 years into fixing this state first. Buttigieg would have been a fine choice, too. Honestly, I'm just happy that all of the speculative VP picks are people known for leading more than being ideologues.

Shapiro fully supported the VP's choice. His endorsement speech was sincere and moving. Maybe he could be AG and Garland could finally get that Supremes gig he was robbed of.

Because tRump trusts nobody, he alone, must control his campaign. Thus, tRump is hopping around on one flacid leg. The Dems have two very capable legs to stand on.

As Tim Walz said - Trump doesn't know what to do because he doesn't understand service to others.

Harris was chosen because she's another vacant-brained nonentity with no idea what's going on. Perfect placeholder/figurehead so the entrenched DC bureaucracy can continue to do whatever they want with no oversight. Just like Biden.
