I started browsing the old news posts (footpad days 1999) from the Circle and was amazed at the number of Thief reviews. So I started digging into those links and reviews using the Wayback Machine. Mr. Peabody was very helpful. The reviews were really quite pleasant and fun to read - particularly coming from the perspective of someone who has played TDP many times and played Thief for 20 years. Anyway, I kept a record of these links to post for those of you interested in a little nostalgia. These aren't all of the links either, but they do cover through about March of 1999. If there is interest, I will add a few posts with additional link collections.

Great Player Review Quote:
Orion Kellogg “The ability to manipulate objects, pickpocket unsuspecting guardsmen of their keys or change purses, lean around corners, knock out foes from behind, move bodies, overhear conversations and eat hearty portions of deer meat (yum!) make Thief's world more immersive than any other game I've ever played.”

Actually there are no haunts on that level. The first one, will be in the next (Bohehoard) level.
Probably that screen is from some of the pre-release builds.
