Scenario:
When Cavador started spilling his guts, he didn't know when to shut up. At least, according to the
Pagan who contacted me last night to thank me for the whole Soulforge debacle. It's been two months
since I foiled Karras' plans. Two months since the truth got out. Two months since the public
hysteria, the lynchings, the start of the official trials, the Hammerites returning in force to cry
heresy and call for harsh justice. The Mechanists are finished.
But according to this Pagan, there's a secret Mechanist facility in the mountains just outside the
City, a facility that only a few high-ranking Mechanists even knew existed. Even Cavador didn't
know much about what went on there, only that the whole place was built to hide some discovery they
found there after following directions from a long lost precursor tome buried deep in the KD site.
Apparently, by the time I got to Soulforge, the Mechanists in the City hadn't heard from their
brethren at the site for some weeks. Now no-one seems to know if the facility is still up and
running in isolation, ignorant of the winds of change from the outside world, or if some disaster
has struck the place.
Precursor artifacts are always in demand from collectors, even if a certain Lord Gervasius is
unlikely to be in the market now that he's been disgraced for his associations with the Order. If
I can get my hands on whatever the Mechanists found up there before anyone else stumbles upon the
place, I should stand to make a tidy profit...

Wishlist / rate it on ThiefGuild.com: https://www.thiefguild.com/fanmissio...isguided-souls
Other missions work, and even same authors I play now Nest of Vipers, everything working , but this one Misguided Souls and yet a shadow of the Water does not work, I cannot use weapons and all creatures dont move, they stay at same place just hands to left right, but they can speak and see me
Each time I play fan mission i Get this message in Darkloader, but I press Ignore and all works, but not now in thees 2 missions:
"The LG rendered Direct Show filter was not installed and file LGVID.AX can not be found"

Should not be using Darkloader, but AngelLoader or the FMselector that came with NewDark.
But you wrote here that "Nest of Vipers" did not work for you. Has this suddenly changed, or what do these conflicting messages mean?
This is a message related only to playing certain movies. I think it is highly unlikely that this has anything to do with the AI problems you have in missions. Playing "Misguided Souls" via FMSel or AngelLoader instead of the ancient and unsupported DarkLoader, just for verifying that DarkLoader is (or is not) the culprit here, would still be helpful.
downloading now, will update post soon thank you for the hardwork
I did not work still, I tried from Angel loader, same AI dont move
no issues here with Angel Loader - thanks nicked! wonderful mission and for some reason I immediately got a nostalgic feeling that reminded me of the soul cube from doom
mission complete on expert 4/7 secrets,, 2384/2896,, 28 min to complete
i enjoyed the mission
I'm so excited to play this tonight!
another great by Nicked - good backstory, nice architecture, little side routes to avoid main paths, changing the tone partway through to keep players on their toes.
I only got 4/7 secrets and missed about 400g loot. I'll take my time on the next play, see if I can wrangle what I missed.

pro tip , when you get into the vents just run blindly through them
also was dewdrop in mission?
Thanks nicked. I always look forward to your missions.
Nice, congratulations. Another mission from nicked. I haven't yet played the one you released recently so have 2 missions to play. pretty sure this would be a great one too.
Nice little mission Nicked, my initial thoughts whilst playing was that it was all a bit too easy and thought you had missed a trick by making the vent useable in expert, after all if they were not available it would have made sneaking through the compound a lot more of a challenge, but then I returned from the caves and was so grateful for the vents.
Thank you for this nice little mission, nicked!
I already knew it would be a treat since the beginning. The starting area with rain and fog was really atmospheric. And the firing up of the main generator was a nice touch too, with the chunks of coal dropping on the conveyor to be transported into the furnace. The inner parts got me on the edge with all the corpses littered around and I slowly put together what happened from the readables before finding the Soul Trap... and that's when the real party started. I really liked the infighting between the enemies, it helped me a lot, especially when I had the chance to release the "additional security". The escape sequence was also something new I have never seen in Thief. It was a nice idea to add that part as closure.
Are those non-gridsnapped brushes in the spiral staircase? You must be new to DromEd.
Isn't there a tutorial called Absolute Beginner's Guide that says "NEVER turn off grid snapping"?
Terrific little mission nicked, thanks so much for making it for us
I found it a true challenge on expert and wandering around at the end until working out the exit route
Finished 100 loot and 1 secret short - I am guessing the last secret contains the missing loot.
Edit: Last secret found: was the missing 100 loot!

I think that was sarcasm (especially since I wrote the aforementioned tutorial).
