Looks like Christmas comes early this year . Besides the speedbuilding jam, we also get a mission from a new author. Congratulations on the release Ramone!

Lord Shabby runs a deceptively tight ship.

I've found what I wanted but it is impossible to do what this hint says. Literally. Maybe it was the case in the previous version of the FM?

I mean I press the button and (if the door is open) I can see the panel opening in the paintings room.

And while you're here... Is that strange thing near the arrow target on the roof -- something? Or just a glitch?

Has anybody managed to snag the ring outside on Lady Shabby (I presume)'s window sill? I seem to be incapable of reaching it.

what I had in mind was climbing the wooden thing close to the wall then bending forward and turning

You can snag it by just moving as close to both the wall and railing as possible, and then leaning left.

That's precisely what I've been trying. Evidently I just haven't hit the sweet spot yet...

the resident in the master bedroom should have it on his person

I've opened the locked door on the ground floor and gotten a new objective and another key, but I'm not sure where to use this new one. Seems like something I should do before leaving the house. hints, please?
Found what I was looking for in the basement, the door blended into the wall

Haven't you ever played any games before? Of course you'll receive something useful only when you don't need it anymore. Lord has the key.

finished Expert in about an hour
found 2132/2473G, 4/5 secrets, and Dewdrop.
I also made my way out of the world via a couple different routes, which was the only way I found the 2100G required on expert. What was the last secret? Does it make up for that low loot total?

no need to get out of world to find any loot. do you mean the hammerite's purse ?

    the secrets are 5
    one in the library
    one on a window sill
    one behind a painting
    one near the kitchen
    one in the basement
