NEW T2 FM A Very Thiefy Christmas Special (18 Dec 2024)

Grab a hot cup of peppermint cocoa and snuggle into your favorite holiday jammies for a comfy, cozy little Christmas mission.

    Download Version 1.0
    Thief Guild
    Thievery-Customs
    Taffer's Paradise

Grover Dill and Scut Farkus (no relation to Farkus) proudly present:

    - A Very Thiefy Christmas Special -

Merry Christmas ya filthy animals! Yeah, wrong movie..

And we missed the speedbuild deadline too... fuuuuudge.

We got bored after beating up the same little kids on our block every day and heard about this speedbuilding jam. So, we thought, why not? Maybe we even found a new way to torture people.

Our mission will fill your hearts will all those wussy Christmas feelings, the kind that'll make you wanna cry. What... are you gonna go cry now, cry baby? Cryyyy? If you don't play our mission we'll twist your arm until you scream 'uncle', then make you stick your tongue to the flagpole.

Play our mission now. We double, no.. we triple dog dare you.

    Notes:

    - This isn't a typical Thief mission. Think of it as an interactive story. So if you get taffed when things stray away from canon, or only like to play classic OM-style, this FM may not be for you.

    - Disable mods before playing

    - You might see lag in some areas due to the toll that holiday magic takes on the engine.

    - You may notice some rough edges - hey, speedbuild, dude.

A sincere THANK YOU to Marzec, Brody and Lord Soth for hosting this mission and so many others!

A huge thank you to ultravioletu for compiling a Lootlist

    No-movies Version Fix

A few people have experienced a crash to desktop when trying to play the mission. For one person, it was seemingly caused by the briefing video. I have uploaded a version with no videos, and included links to the videos themselves. If you experience a crash when trying to play the mission, you might want to try the no movies version.

I thought this was going to be a cute little five minute wonder but then you get out into the city and it's enormous! What a treat.

There are problems with objects that have replacing textures:

you can edit these objects with HxD and set a definitive texture to them.

Hm. On which tree should I install that "ornament"? Yes, I was at the very top of that ornamented New Year tree in the square. Doesn't look like the correct place.

Do you have any mods installed like the enhancement pack? First, disable mods then try it again - we're also going to add in the first post that mods should be uninstalled before playing.

Actually, you found the right place! The treetop trunk that sticks up at the very top - that's where you want to put the star. Was there a problem frobbing the star into that object?

Oh, that was my fault. I got there in such an inconvenient way that I thought that I shouldn't even be there, so when I didn't see any highlighting I assumed that there wasn't any active object there.

It does highlight, but the base object is a lighter color so may be harder to see. Thanks for playing btw, and hope you're having fun

Well. This was something. Very-very-very nice FM. I don't remember when it was the last time I got this level of pleasure from Thief FM.

    It took almost 2 hours.

A map would be helpful. Not really necessary, but helpful.

Thank you A.Stahl! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the mission so much. It was fun to make. As for a map, we thought so too but it was a speed build and we wanted to get it released before Christmas.
