can someone please fix this entry on wiki, link inside

    https://thief.fandom.com/wiki/Plum

its not a plum, this bad joke has went on far to long 1998-2025

its a healing fruit, aka "bunch of grapes"

and they even added the dumb conversation between the apes in the entry to confuse people who don't know

just add healing fruit to all area's where it says plum as it is not a plum

if people would actually listen to the conversation with apes you would hear them say there are no more plum's

the model is obviously a bunch of grapes, a plum model would look nothing like that even back in 1998

so please someone fix it as i am tired of looking at some troll entry about one of my favorite items in thief 1/g/2, i am not sure if thief 3 had the grapes??? been so long since i played t3

if there was a single person who is a expert on that item it would be me, there is a few items i am an expert on rare spice bag= the red bag, healing fruit and dewdrop

also on main item page that list all items need to be fixed as well with Healing Fruit

i find it strange out of all the food items in thief they have to butcher the one i like, no they could not do the carrot or the bread loaf, cheese or apple

imaging they said the bedroll is bread and the bread is bedroll, just look at the model they close if you squint

just post when its fixed so i can check it its 2025 lets not insult wiki with taffer nonsense, even benny knows they healing fruit/bunch of grapes and he spilt mead all over the rug

also never once is there a tree to get them from, they grow on vines = yes devs were to lazy to make vines for the healing fruit but they always on the ground, do plums grow on the ground = no, but grapes can

thank you all for hearing me out

    So you're saying this:

Couldn't possibly look like this? (loving the jpg filename BTW):

But would look like this instead?:

if you look close at the image of the purp turd/healing fruit, you will see the speckled area's representing single grapes, plums are not speckled and yes i know about dinosaur eggs fruit, but that is not a plum

also the image is at a bad angle to see it correctly, best to drop on in game in a light up area and then go around it to see it from all sides

    a better example

and here is a plum example

i would say that is a better example, then the pics you picked

also if you notice the top of the healing fruit it has a vine on the top and not a stem

there is no plum on earth that has a top part like the healing fruit, but a bunch of grape has the same top if you whacked off part of the vine

am i living in a alt reality? it is very obvious to me they are a bunch of grape and not a plum, just zoom in on the healing fruit and check out the segments = individual grapes

In the context of the current dismantling of democracy in the US, war in Ukraine and other parts of the world, and the accelerating climate catastrophe, reading a thread in which downwinder obsesses over minor details in a decades-old video game feels oddly comforting.

Things that are constant in this world:
    - the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west
    - time only moves forward
    - downwinder posts dumb shit on TTLG

You have something better to suggest? We all will die someday. What's the reason of doing anything then, according to your words?

lets all focus on healing fruit as, its a key artifact = yes i upgraded its statue in thief lore, the mighty healing fruit is straight from the master builder

also the small gold plate is also very important as it holds the healing fruit and the plate is good loot

The ape beasts do not say that there are no more plums in existence. I think that they were just talking about how one of them took all the plums from the other one's personal stash.

It is possible that we were not intended to infer that the plums being referenced are the same fruit that can be found, but it seems reasonable to think that they are.

There is probably some kind of Chekhov's Gun principle here. Assume that any mentioned objects have in-game significance, unless if there is a positive reason to think otherwise?

Is there a positive reason to think that the plums were just some randomly mentioned fruit that have no relevance to the in-game collectible fruit?

If not, then I for one think it's best to stick with the Chekhov's Gun-style assumption.

i understand what you are saying cigam, but to assume it meant the same fruit is to assume the text in a readable in thief 3 that mentions plums, but in thief 3 there is no healing fruit

so i then can say it is not the same since there are none in thief 3, but a single line of text

unless the person who made the healing fruit would be the only person who can 100% confirm, or the person who told that person to make it or the person who coded it into game might know?

downwinder, I can't remember the Thief DS reference, but perhaps it was talking about ordinary plums. Whereas only Maw plums have the healing property?

A bit like those Maw spiders that shoot lasers, while ordinary spiders do not.

i guess we will all have to see if we can get 100% confirmation from who created it/told person to make it/person who put it in game to know forsure

other wise its seems we all can have our views on what it is

thank you all for the input

    "healing fruit are grapes"

then i guess we could not be sure if Ramirez is his first name of last name also Constantine could be his first or last name if you go by context in game, but that would be a whole other subject

Y'know, some people may claim it's not cool to make fun of someone who's clearly suffering from schizophrenia, early onset dementia, prepubescent paint chip ingestion, and time cube applied directly to the forehead.

But I'm not one of those people.

I forget what the community consensus is about the rare spice. Is it paprika, mary jane or something else?
