    I need to jump farther

Do we have some mod for that?
Or maybe I can change some variable in the config? I need to make a long jump. Like 1.5 longer than usual.
I'm using Linux, and DromEd is even more hassle than under Windows, so it's not an option.

jump_speed_boost 1.5 in cam.cfg in T2 is about as speedy as is recommended; it should also let you bunnyhop a la T1/TG for even longer distances

Thanks! But where did you get this knowledge? Do you have access to the source code or something? I'm interested in a full list of available parameters...

Look into the doc folder inside the game's main folder. new_config_vars.txt explains the jump_speed_boost option, and others as well. What else is present in doc I am not yet fully aware, since I have not read all of these files so far.

I wish I didn't know this =) Now I might be tempted to use it.

Use it. Freedom of movement is cool. Being stuck after 3/4 of the level because of an unlucky quicksave is very uncool.

My original TDP and TG jump_speed_boost is 1.4 < use this if you want the original T1/TG bunny hopping - 1.5 will be quicker

I always wondered how DromEd runs under Linux. My FM setup is great, but I had my doubts...

I was able to tune DromEd to a workable state. Enough for experiments with FM-building. But it was a pain in the ass (4K monitor made it even more painful) and I've lost my configs since then. I'm not willing to start it all over again.

I heard that some team was developing a more modern editor, and they were at the middle-to-late stages of the process when I last checked, about a year or two ago. But I suppose the project is dead if we're not seeing any results. But who knows...

For the small experimental changes I sometimes make to an existing FM, it runs well enough here. What did you experience instead?

Tiny font. Like 10-12 px hight. On 4k monitor it isn't nice. Fixable but in some shitty way.
No upper tool menu. At all. Don't even remember how to fix and if I had such a problem earlier.
And a few dozen of smaller things like crazy colours of the lines, so it is very difficult to distinguish the wall from the grid...

Ah, I see. I use rather low resolutions (max. 1366x768) where the "tiny font effect" seems to be small.

As for the grid, I noticed that you can edit the colours in dromed.cfg. Maybe that would be an option.
