Not sure if the correct place or not, but time to get back into the OEM, the Fan Missions again. I have the Steam versions of Thief: Gold, and Thief 2: The Metal Age. I also have Thief 3: Deadly Shadows (but that needs just Sneaky Thief T3 update -I think). I want to get Thief & Thief 2 setup, and working correctly on Windows 11 64 bit 24H2 feature update. Tried T2fix and T-fix and they blew up my installs which I tried to install in a separate place. OEM missions from Steam run solid/great but need that edge. I also need to get cutscenes working too. Is there an order, or how to to get it rolling again w/ latest New Dark.

I used an alternate directory if I remember correctly, the game opens once I launch either the OEM missions or any Fan mission, game crashes to the desktop. Logs are too much to crawl through. All fm's I've installed do not open at all. Even w/ New dark a a troubleshooting step using Angelloader. I can get some T2 OEM missions to open using T2fix with AngelLoder, but either crashes immediately, or I can go a short distance and either the graphics go slowly, or if I dowse a torch, use moss arrow, game crashes.
I'm installing a fresh version of the Thief2: Metal Age -GOG version from 2016. I'll try it then apply the T2fix and Angel Loader to see if better.
T2 GOG has new dark (probably looking at 1.21, which I cannot remember where I procured it from. OEM works no issues, will try T2fix/AngelLoader.
So using the Gog version is one way, the a backup plan was using T2Fix w/ Mods using the SteamApp directory, this time it worked. Not sure what happened last time. I know the SteamApp directlry is write protected, but once it copied all to another folder, FM Select is working again. I will also try Angle Loader. Will try to see if I can get T1:Gold to work correctly and see if sutscenses work. T2 cutscenes work.
Issue is Angel Loader. Both T2 & T1 OEM or if any FM crashes to desktop. I used T2 FM Select (works perfectly); T1!Thief FM (works) ; currently running the Thief: Black Parade using the T1 FM exe tool.
maybe report it in the AngelLoader topic. also no idea what do you mean by T1 FM exe tool.
Under the Thief Gold Steam install in Windows; C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\thief_gold\!FMselect (Thief Gold FM Select) shortcut under there.Originally Posted by voodoo47
