    T2 FM - Saturio Returns Home (1st Jan, 2001)

It’s a little bit hard to release a Fan Mission after splendid Kfgecko’s “Embracing the enemy”. However is ready to download now my new “Saturio returns home”. Go to Thief-TheCircle, The Keep or Thiefmissions for the link. Whatever feedback will be welcome.

    Happy new year everybody!

Others mission of mine: “Lady Whitman´s Disease” for both Thief versions.

    Hey RobinG!

Just d/l'd your mission and started playing it. This is AWSOME! Architecture is stunning. I wouldn't be intimidated by the "Big Boys" of FMdom. This one might earn you a place up there with them. Ha. Ha.

From Spain, eh? I love this international community.

Keep up the great work. If I find any bugs, I'll holler.

I can't find the key to the locked area in the basement. I have finished all the otehr objectives but this one. I have knocked out every human AI, disabled all the machines, and backstabbed the haunt. There is nothing left to do, unless I have missed some loot.
Nice mission...it seems a lot like Lady Whitman's Disease, but that's not a bad thing. A motif can be fun.

    Spoilers needed. Playing on Hard.

One of the mission objectives was that Sarturio was near death and cannot be left to die. Am I required to give him a Healing Potion? I've never seen this done before. By the time I policed him out of his cell, and dropped him alongside Mom, I'd used all mine, and would have to restore a previous save to have an extra one.

Second. Where's the key to the locked room in the wine cellar.

    Warning! Spoilers ahead!!!

    Warning! Spoilers!.

    Viper6:

First: It’s more simple than you think…(regrettably). Saturio will die easily in a fall or taken a minimal damage. Avoid it. Note: the slowfall potions lasts 8 seconds in this mission.

Second: The wine cellar key is inside the little guardhouse at the south of the map. Btw, think you I would give any clue about this along the mission?. What´s your opinion?

    Warning! Spoilers!.

    Warning! Spoilers behind!!!

    RobinG,

A wine cellar key location clue would be helpful if you're going to hide it. If you put it in an obvious location, e.g. on a table near some drunk guards, or on one of the drunk guards, then, no clue.

BTW: Loved your Classical Guitar pieces on the old RCA Victrola.

    Robin,

Saturio Returns es MUY BONITO. Bueno trabajo.

Mi espanol esta mal. (Lo ciento.) Estudio espanol a la universidad, pero solamente uno semestre. (So far.)

    So in english:

The level is absolutely gorgeous, and well layed-out. I'm very impressed. Even the sewer looked good, and the spooky parts were unexpected and fun. I'm thinking about sending a review to the Circle, and it would be a very good one, indeed.

I liked the texturing especially in this mission. And the guitar music in the victrolas added to the ambience immensely. Excellent job Robin

Now, I've done that, over and over again, but when I drop him on the bed next to mommie, the box still isn't checked. I'm doing this as gingerly as possible. Do I just make a run for the sewer?

Don`t worry Theef. When you complete all other objetives this one will be achieved.

About the goal: “Saturio is ill and very weak. You must not let him die.”

I think this goal was necessary because I wanted to avoid anyone try to handle Saturio like a “corpse” throwing him from a high window or standing underwater with him for a long time without anything happens.
Finally it’s a “reverse” type goal: (Kill a creature > DON'T KILL A CRETURE) marked complete only if all other goals are achieved.
Maybe I would write in a future update: “Saturio is ill and very weak. You must handle him with care” or anything similar.

Robin, just had to post about what a great FM "Saturio" is! Man, I wish I could do outside architecture like that! The Temple or building looks great and very lifelike from all parts of the courtyards and just beckons Garrett to get into it from all sides. The lighting was great, the gameplay moved along just perfect, the inside texturing and design was awesome, had a great mixture of areas to explore, and I loved the lil locked french doors...

For those of you who haven't downloaded this one, I strongly suggest you do so and thanks again for a great FM Robin!

    Finished!

RobinG, for someone a little reluctant to release a mission along with ETE, you have nothing to fear. This one is all 9's & 10's! Absolutely Stunning is an understatement.

At last. I saw the main gate, and the last time my jaw dropped this far was when I played COS 2. You have also managed to make a scary graveyard. (That scares me, that is. )

BTW, I adored Whitman´s disease. Have a nice day.
