Meeting with keeper in Party - Help!

Howdy, so I was playing "Life of the Party"...

Can someone tell me what happens when you meet the keeper in this level?

I jumped in a window just before Angelwatch and found a note. I went though the door, found the secret. As I was about to jump out the window I heard footsteps behind me and a keeper appeared from no where, when through the door and vanished again.

Does he/she talk to you at all? Do you normally just see them standing in the room?

    Thanks in advance.

Be warned that this is a full report on my Keeper experience in ďLOPĒ so it may spoil some of it for you.

In my game play experience, messing with the second Keeper in ďLife of the PartyĒ is an example of a bug occasionally working in my favor. When I first played the mission, I walked right past the Keeperís window and mantled into Lady Louisaís apartment. While I was in there, I kept hearing footsteps and a door opening and closing. Curious, I located the sound and saw it was a Keeper marching around the room and adjacent hallway as if he was a regular guard albeit at a faster pace. Through trial and error, I found that if I entered the room while he was in it, he would exit and disappear (not run down the hall but simply step out the door and wink out of existence). He would also disappear never to return if I entered the hallway itself, which seems to differ from your game experience, though. However, if I entered the room and stood in the corner while he was outside (I canít remember if extinguishing the torch was necessary) he would continue to enter and exit without a problem. I consider this to be a bug because I donít think this is quite the way the designers meant it to go down as he is both immune to and unaware of any range attacks I made on him except for gas weapons (I canít remember exactly but he might have noticed the detonation of explosive but nevertheless they didnít harm him). If I attempted to engage him hand to hand, he went into defensive stance but, being unarmed, he canít actually fight and, again, my blows didnít hurt him. Wonder of wonder, though, either a gas arrow or a gas mine will knock him out. The reward: an unconscious Keeper that you can carry around, hurl at guards, or toss off a building if youíre feeling cruel. The situation played this way for me on both Normal and Hard settings using the patched version of the game.

Thanks - I'll try sneaking in while he is out of the room.

So he dosnt say anything then? Perhaps the note says it all... be intersting to hear from someone who experienced it as it was meant to be.

BTW my version in unpatched I was on Expert but I'll try on Hard tonight.

Its been a while, but I do remember seeing that someone had successfully black jacked that keeper. You may want to try the handy search feature of this forum if you are really interested...

:cringe: Yeah I did after posting & Norman Druart mentioned the other Keeper.

That will learn me to search for it first next time - apparently the guy I saw can be gas arrowed more easily than BJed.

I'm a bit sorry he doesnt speak. No doubt they will crop up a lot in Thief 3.

    Thanks for the tip Dunbar.

That's the Keeper #1 in the mission. Keeper #2 is further along, near Lady Louisa's place.

No problem Margorach. Its a lot easier posting during the first few weeks of the release of a game.

Is that guy a Keeper? I thought he was a Pagan. His appearance, sentence structure would seem to indicate so.
