You can get the older versions of this Thief 2 FM campaign at thiefmissions.com
This link includes the FM.CFG file for NewDark. This way, some of the objects won't disappear and the new mantle is turned off.

There have been a few changes in this mission. Also, you are able to get ALL of the loot in all of the difficulties, and all of the doors can be opened (except for the broken elevator, of course.).

Agreed! I got amazing speed from Thiefmissions.Originally Posted by dealasteal
I'm not sure this community would still be thriving 6 years after the release of T2 without Jason. Anyway Gort, grats on finally releasing this! I can't wait to play it!
Folks with fast connections can get well over 1MB/s.
I get about 180-200 from Jason myself. But I'm not complaining. After all those frobber beta tests on dial up at around 2.5...........
I'm rather curious how thoroughly this was tested.
I must confess that I was frustrated enough with the levels that I skipped around to get an overall feel for this. I bring the level-skipping to your attention because I noticed some of the no-kill objectives seemed to be mis-triggered. For example, in the fourth mission, I failed upon discvering a secret or entering a room which seemed to be vital to the progression of the mission. Naturally frustrated, I skipped this level, only to find that I failed the mission after killing a non-human that should have been fair game.
I can't see what these could be beyond bugs, so I thought I'd point them out.
Aside from that, is this supposed to be impossibly difficult? From the very first level, I could not think of anyway to progress without conflict, and because of the power and speed of the enemies (and the number), conflict is always to thier benefit. This is why I started skipping around...I honestly couldn't understand as I played through most all the levels how the testers could let you get away with the level of difficulty (to the point where it exceeds intrigue and just makes you pissed-off).
I thank you for releasing this; it takes much work to release a single mission, much less a five mission pack with custom motions and weapons in use, but I can't help but ask about the degree of difficulty![]()
OK, to go through the easy way in the estate, use Garrett's advise about checking the outside windows upstairs. Those trees are climbable and you can hide behind the shadows of 'em too. Hope that helps.![]()
Woot! Congrats, GORT! look foward in playing this. Better get on the ball I need to play through the SSR missions too in time to vote
Elder Scrolls. After a lot of tweaking, I've managed to get it running at nearly playable speeds on my obsolete machine. And, of course, I'm playing it Garrett-style.Originally Posted by metal dawn

Have decided to start over again when I get home from work tonight since I didn't know about thespoiler:and now have only about a quarter of my health left. I definitely love being challenged like this, though! Way to go, Gort!climbable trees. I took the harder way; the sunken doorway to the far right,![]()
