I've finished this now but thought the ending was a little strange.
spoiler:Basso is dead and can't be rescued. There's no way I can bring him to Jenivere (not that I found). When I got to her there was a button to push and voila... objective complete. So I guess you could skip the prison thing and jump down straight away, open the bridge and go strait to Jenivere? Takes about 3-4 minutes...
I don't know about ending the mission by pushing that button, but Basso's not dead. Did you pick him up? He's only unconcious.
edit: Funny! LOL! I just went and checked that out. I suspect the button was supposed to be invisible or something. If you arrive there carrying Basso, the mission ends before you could ever go back there and see it.

Yeah I did pick him up but didn't know where to go. Can't climp up tre latter with him and I can't swim with him. So I think I should do it over again, the right way. Where to go with him?
Look for torch holders you can frob down there. You'll have to sit them down to check them, of course.
I saw those torch things but I never saw that lever in the room with the stairs, hehe. Talk about being blind! There was a big lever right infront of me, and I didn't see it.
Ok ok let's say it's not really my fault. There was a soccer match on tv (my eyes were somewhere else, lol!)
