I can't remember if the key's position is random or dependent on difficulty level but there are two places it can be, either in the Mortuary upstairs on a desk or table or inside the Lawyer's desk. The two possible positions are explained in the plot.

The key actually moves depending on how you complete the mission. If you went to the lawyers office first you will find it at the morticians and vice versa. With 35 minutes left you still have PLENTY of time. This is this same on all difficulties.

I am not able to find key. The Lawyer's desk is locked - how to unlock it? In Morticians there is the key, but it's for another desk...

Sounds like you're in the Enterprise. That is the only other key in the whole series that might be hard to find -- the rest are pretty close to where they get used.

    spoiler:
You have to go down deep -- but not the cave area. This region is reached by looking -up- in the auditorium ...or (a new way in the Thief 2 version) by figuring out how to operate the giant -metal- freight elevator located in the northwest corner of the mountain.

Today I learned how to use the DromEd Fly-mode...

And the first mission where I tried it was "The Insurrection".
And in the first mission, where I tried it, the FM author (frobber) had also the idea someone would try this.

Sometimes I've a strange luck... see picture.

But I think, the most people knew frobbers plaque high up there.
After a few seconds I read it, the game crashed. My comment: True, true... :P

OK, that was sad seeing a thread started by Footpad return to the top of the list, so near the anniversary of his death.

Back on topic, I found SethAC's discovery interesting. Why did TTLG warn me that his picture's web site is the same as his TTLG ID, before it would let me see the picture?

    oh man,

    not cool!

I just read a letter by a charming and intelligent girl, and 5 seconds later you have killed her off!

but wait jus a min here! - i see a voice credit for her - HUH?

Oh yeah,i have got to tell ya, what with that music in the intro, and what the intro's text had to say, and then the letter from Alisha and her getting killed.
You paint a mighty depressing picture of Garrett, that's for sure!

    You ain't seen nothin' yet!

To finally find out what Alisha's destiny is, you will have to play the whole series from beginning to end, really!

That's not a joke. Continue playing and wait while the story unfolds...

It would help to know your computer specs but your problem can probably be fixed by changing one of the settings in cam_ext.cfg. This file is in your Thief2 folder. I suggest saving that file first under a different name so that you have that as a backup. For example, cam_ext_original.cfg. Then open cam_ext.cfg and take a look at the posts starting here in the Tafferpatcher thread. Which setting to change will likely depend upon your computer configuration.

Posted in this thread as is the thread linked to Thief missions. dml's courtesy Unna + Glypher

There is one major game breaking issue in this campaign, in mission 4: Hallucinations the game can crash to desktop due the the fact that after the conversation between Crastus and Franticius Dromed continuously adds hundreds of copies of "M-DontGoHome" metaprops, leading to memory leak and CTD. Apart from that most other fixes are relatively minor but includes an AI that sinks into the ground, a wall panel that can be bashed open, fences that can be mantled, hanging arrows bug and a couple of archers floating in the air.

Wow, there´s not even a "real" announcing thread to this fantastic campaign, I am surprised :O

I´ve just played through the whole campaign and I really did enjoy myself. At times I found it tough, like the mission "oracle of the prophecies" on the strange planet with those annoying creatures. I didn´t even finish it and jumped right to the next mission. It was just not my cup of tea.
What was really great was obviously the story. At the end when Garrett left the note to megatfree about his daugther a teardrop left my eye

    Thanks a bunch for this!!

AFAIK, while (or by) building this campaign, the author tried to come to terms with the loss of his own daughter in a somewhat similar, but real-life, occurrence. This intensified the emotional content of this campaign for me when I heard of it.

I understand. To hear how that man in the campaign lost his daughter was already sad enough, but in real life it must be unbearable. I think it is great how the author tried to deal with such a big loss by creating a story like this and trying to share the pain. If only we could reverse time and take the pain away in real life.

Careful what you wish for. There are enough sci-fi time travel stories there which point out that the consequences of such time travels could be more disatrous than we think - even if we had the best intentions. The movie "Butterfly Effect" has a rather dark version of these unforeseen results of time travel.

Below is a link to my Supreme Ghost playlist for this campaign. I would also like everyone to know that Ken Ramsley (frobber, the author) has recently posted very detailed in-depth comments about each of the missions, in case people wanted to read them. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes information that many of you will find highly interesting. As some of you also probably know, but that others might not, is that this campaign is a very personal and emotional creation for him, as his family went through something horrible a few years prior to its making. The story is heavily based on what happened, and he shares details about that in these comments as well. Although he hasn't played Thief since 2005, I know it helps him a lot to know people are still enjoying this very special campaign. It might be worth your look. He was a very influential mission creator in the early days of TTLG. Please take a look and perhaps send him your greetings. It would mean a lot.

This FM for me, will always pull at my heart strings. I helped with this one. A few months back I played it again, it got me again, even more so this time. I don't know why. Age, we get a bit more sentimental. I don't know. Knowing the back story, it's just gut wrenching, heart wrenching. One of the few FM's that I shed a tear over. I cannot imagine the pain what he went through. I would like to think making this FM was therapeutic for him. I sure hope so. The ending, it was sad, and beautiful at the same time. I hope he realizes what a lasting legacy he left us. He is missed, I hope he and his family are doing well.
