    Announcing th-backup

No, it's not a new map.

It's a utility which can back up and restore your ini files(currently it only works for ThAux.ini, ThieveryUser.ini, and ThLoadouts.ini, but it's pretty easy to add more).

I made this because more than a few times I've had my settings disappear for no apparent reason, and I know some others have as well.

Also, read the readme.txt file, it's important. The source file is included in the zip file as well so people can see my horrible coding skills.

    Get it here. Mirror.

Oh yeah, don't mistake it for a DOS program, it's a console program.

Comments and suggestions (on the program) are welcome.

You are right Omega. Your tutorial should be linked to in the ThieveryUT GameFAQ. Hear that Thwark?

Sounds good... but I can't access either site. Could someone else put it up on their website?

The mirror should work fine, the original link will not work due to me using up all my bandwidth for the day checking for broken links(I totally redid my site, it now resembles a site).

    win2000 pro/sp3 - works just fine.

eh... say, wouldn't it be better if people posted here if they encountered any PROBLEMS instead of if they didn't? =)

    You're right TheOutrider, it would.

Alright then, I think I can be satisfied with it working properly, so you can stop posting if it works for you and stick with it not working. I'd still like someone who uses XP to give it a try though, just to be certain.

Thank you Nachimir, Omega, and TheOutrider.

Ok, It's now hosted on my site (www.chainsawdeath.co.uk) and thus saved from drowning in the forums

I definately recommend this program, very useful and easy to use.

It's good that you're hosting it, but I've just uploaded an update.

The changes are I added ThieveryMod.ini to the files to be backed up, and changed the format of the readme. Older version is still available.

DL at the same urls posted in the first post.

Oddly enough, the program is now smaller.
