    Hells motel part 2 - Apr 2003

my latest fm hell's motel part 2 should be up at cheap thief soon. its for thief gold, and is my last thief gold level. for those of you that havent played part 1, i urge you to play that one first as the story is threaded into both of the fms. its basically one night in part 1, and the next night is part 2.

part 1 was released nearly a year ago so even if youve played it you might still want to read the briefing for it if you dont want to play it again, just to refresh your memory a little. part 2 continues the story. the next three are for t2, but thats getting ahead of the story.....

part 1 file size: 5 mb
part 2 file size: 13.1 mb

hope you all enjoy it(them) it would be best to think of them as one file, since it started out that way. it just got too big and i had to split them into two. if you have any questions feel free to email or post them and also if you happen to encounter a bug which we didnt catch please let me know.

I was pleasantly surprised with this mission . The sound tracks and mission size really livened things up . My only problem is that I can't find which room is Bafford's , and they are all opened up .

No offense taken..I just took your post as to meaning that you thought the FM was for T2..and I didn't want you to take the time to grab it if you didn't have TGold..

As much as I enjoy playing fan missions I would dearly love to uninstall T1 and delete the various patches for it . I'm really looking forward to the T2 sequels as amievil? is making progressively better missions .

Loved the steam pools, amievil? And all those ideas that you had to cut out ... hope they get included somehow in the next parts you create with Thief 2. The ending took me by surprised. If I had known that

Looking forward to the sequels ... the next one is coming out soon ... right?

kalied, since you are playing on hard,
    spoiler:
read carefully the objective to kill him. notice it mentions he was hired for working the "electrics"...then think about an area in the fm that has alot of electric devices....

the story line twists, dream walker. to play the next one, you must pay close attention to this storyline. basically garrett has gotten old and very rich. he has taken in an apprentice, Talon...i dont like setting release dates but the next part should be no more than june or july. its not nearly that big as my previous work. it is very twisted, very different than what you are used to. you may not even want to play it when you read the next part of the story. but this story is long, and takes many paths. part 3 is another "evil" night, thats all im saying about it. work has already begun on the surrounding city streets. part 4 is set in a city, dont know how big i will build it but im trying a new technique to building so that it is as optimal as it can be. part 5 is the conclusion of this story of ole rich lord garrett

so yeah id say june, july somewhere in there. part 4 scares me the most to build, since its the biggest and has the most stuff in it. its also going to be the biggest in file size probably.

No one is standing on their feet anymore, I've blackjacked down everyone, so that makes identifying him a bit more difficult. Give another small hint: What does he look like?

/ Good missions btw. Looking forward for your future releases, glad they come for T2.

he's by himself on the exterior, near the electrics. he looks like all the other guards, even though he's a thief. after all he was hired as a guard. he carried the backdoor key....

I'm done! I must've got lucky because I jumped out of the balcony to see if I could get into the manager's office from out on the ledge. Figured I better get those two guards outside who patrol together (since I'd knocked absolutely everyone else out except for the two in the guard quarters) so I go back upstairs and some bi-otch is patrolling around w/ the key? I coulda sworn I'd bj'ed every single person! I never would have found her. Is she like "the wanderer" from Song of the Caverns or something?

One thing that did bother me though. I was 250 short of all total loot: my stats were 2248 in gold, 200 in gems and 670 in goods. Any hints as to where the hard to find loot is? I chopped quite a few tapestries but after awhile figured none of them had anything behind so I stopped...mistake?
